My driver called to tell me that my Wife cried all the way back to Ibadan from Lagos where they dropped me off.

This is a very cruel and inhumane process.

Props to those who have gone through it before.

Oh my I am so sorry. I know your heart is heavy. And I so understand. been 16 months since I seen my husband. I feel your pain I do. Just know this will be your last year apart.

Hi, Congrats on your wedding. I am new to visajourney and I am planning on marrying in Lagos at the end of March. My fiancee told me that I need to get an affidavit of an oath of spinsterhood for our marriage application. I talked to another member here and she told me that she did this 2 days prior to wedding at the courthouse. I was trying to figure out how to do it from the USA, until she pointed me in the right direction. Is that what you did too?

Also, trying to figure out where to go for honeymoon trip in Nigeria? Did you like the places you stayed? hotel recs?

Thanks so much

Thanks.

I was married before and they asked me for copy of my divorce decree which I gave them. Not sure what my Wife had to give them since she wasn't married before. I'll ask her this evening and report back.

Regarding honeymoon, we didn't go to any resort per see. We just did a road trip and stayed with relatives along the way. This gave me an opportunity to introduce my new Wife to my relatives and for me to see Nigeria again. It's such a beautiful country with friendly folks. It's a shame that her resources are being looted.

There's this place that I plan on going to one of these days Obudu Resort

If I may, may I recommend that you forgo a traditional honeymoon and instead just maximise your time with your Woman instead. You;re going to be coming back to the US and leaving her behing in Nigeria and I think it's more prudent to spend as much quality one on one time with her.

Either way, you'll be fine. Good luck.
