Hey there, Im looking for some help. I have been in the US for 9 years on work visa's..I have recently married and while we have been working on the paper on paper work my drivers license expired, when I went to renew it I was told it would only be renewed until the end date on my Visa, which that date has been and gone, which means I am with out a license, which SUCKS. My question is this, if I can come over here as a tourist and drive on my English License for up to 90 days, can I drive on my English license now ??? I cant see why I couldn't....any ideas ?

What does yer state say about it?

Well Im in NC, I will look some where...I didnt know if there would be some kind of issue as I have been here for so long.

it's an issue with the state, at the state level, not any federal thing.

So I have gone crazy looking for info....I see stuff saying yes I can drive on my English license for up to a year...but as I have been here all ready for a while, Im not sure if I can just got rent a car on my English license....confusion confusion.
