New Delhi US Embassy K1 visa interview delay

The New Delhi US Embassy sent us our Packet 4 including our interview date on Dec. 3, 2012, which was 3 months after we sent in our Packet 3 info. via post. But I am wondering why they gave us and interview date of Feb. 6, 2013... which is for almost two months later??? This was very shocking for me since most people get their interview dates within a month of receiving their interview appointment letter. I checked on this and other websites and almost nobody's Fiance visa case has taken 1 year from NOA1 to the interview date. Does anyone have any idea why the New Delhi US Embassy has taken almost 6 months to give us an interview date???

Hey, same thing happen to my fiancee as well she received her Packet 4 in Nov with interview date schedule for Jan 3. SO don't worry about they are just lazy sending out interview dates. So just have to be patient with them.

well we only got an appt letter in the mail just 10 days after we got notification that I was approved in the US... then we only had 13 days till our interview when we got the letter in the mail... then my fiancé was approved on September 6th and it took till January 9th to have his visa in hand...

the Indian embassies are so slow... i think all of us should go to congress and share our long long long stories with them.........
