No actually I try my best to use the scripture I know as it is written and commonly understood.

this is the whole problem. how the bible is commonly understood relies on little to no factual historical or cultural context.

I wouldn't say they aren't worth it. They definitely are. I was just helping Danno, since saw a lot of people just laughing at him on here. I try to stick close to by brothers in Christ. Even if I don't know them personally.

I was just trying to tell him to not be discouraged, and not to try to force you to believe. If God wants you converted, He'll convert you. I have no doubt of that.

It is commonly understood that Jesus preached love and forgiveness. You can find 2 sentences in the New Testament speaking about homosexuality, yet you chose to accept that and ignore 4 Gospels and Acts instead. Remove the splinter from your eye.

The four Gospels were written for another purpose. To show how salvation came to the Jews. Acts shows how salvation came to the Gentiles specifically. The Jews weren't worried about committing homosexual acts. They knew it was inherently evil from their own Scriptures. The reason Paul mentions it more often, is because it was a problem among the Gentiles, more specifically the Roman aristocracy especially. But even in the lower ranks of Roman society.

But this drives a man to Christ when he realizes he cannot keep the laws of God perfectly and God's judgement rests on him. Perhaps God will show you mercy if you seek Christ.

It's a worldview thing. Your whole worldview must be converted from the worldview of the kingdom of darkness (or the "me" as ultimate authority) to the kingdom of light (God as ultimate authority).

It teaches against a lot of stuff. It teaches against working on Sundays. And look around what happens in this oh so Christian nation on Sundays. People work all over the place. Hell, Jesus worked on a Sunday curing a crippled man. Why? Because compassion is the overarching story of the NT. So, why not be a good Christian and be compassionate towards thy neighbor - even if he is gay.

It does not teach against working on Sundays. This is why theology matters. Men get up on the pulpit and condemn people for doing things the bible doesn't even teach against.
