Medical Exam

Hi y'all!

I have my medical exam scheduled this week and I'm just wondering, what's the difference between the I-693 and I-693s? I'm adjusting status from a different visa (not a K1 or CR1), thus, I have not had a medical exam prior to entering the country. Is the I-693 only the supplement for the vaccination record? Where can I find it?

Also, should I bring the downloaded I-693 to the Civil Surgeon? Or will they be providing that themselves? (Stupid question, I know, but just want to make sure. I'm thinking I'll just bring it just the same.)

You will have to take the medical (I-693) and the civil surgeon will also fill out the I-693A. That is why you need to bring evidence about your vaccination history (e.g. the Green Cross of Genova International Vaccination Passport, hospital/medical records).

Basically you will just have to take a normal medical (ears, knee reflex, throat), Aids test, syphilis test (blood will be drawn) and show proof of your vaccinations (if some are missing you will have to get those).

Oh and they will take a TB skin test, you will have to return within three days to see if you react. If you react, a x-ray of your torax will be taken and if it turns out that you suffer from TB you will have to take antibiotics.

Where can download the I-693A form? I'm not sure if it's just me but I can't seem to find it on the USCIS website. Will I get the form directly fromt he Civil Surgeon?

I never saw it online, but the civil surgeons have it. Make sure they fill it out. My doctor sent me the sealed envelope and a copy for me so I could see she filled out both forms! They know, so don't worry, just make sure you get what you pay for!
