This guy actually just compared his interview with that gun nut, to some great moment in history. He asked one of guests, "Where were you when you heard the Alex Jones Interview?" Kinda like where were you when Kennedy got shot or 9/11 went down? He prefaced that by calling it the "interview heard round the world" His guest was like uhhhh .... I was here in Las Vegas.

He got some moron to go on TV and make a fool of himself. He's probably waiting on his Nobel prize. I hear they're handing those out for doing pretty nothing these days.

It's funny really... Alex Jones was right in many of his assertions regarding the second amendment and history.

However, when you get on national TV (well CNN isn't exactly quality TV but still) and yell like a Banshee, people aren't exactly going to take you seriously.

He seemed high on something. That was more than natural energy, I think it is fair to say "alarming".

Jones delivered beyond what the show could have hoped for.

I always considered CNN somewhat unbiased. Basically a pretty good news source. I suppose their ratings sucked, so they had to do something. I'm waiting for them to bring on Randi Rhodes. They're basically copying the Bill O'Reilly model now. Be nice to the guests you agree with, and be an a$$ to the ones you don't. Soledad O'brien pretty much does the same thing in the morning.

The other on-air near-meltdown that got very little mainstream media attention was Lawrence O'Donnell's "offer" to fight Tag Romney. That was cringeworthy and the last time I ever bothered watching more than a few minutes of LOD.

I agree. There's nothing more gratifying than watching the self implosion of a whack job. Frankly I thought it was genious on Piers' part. I was expecting him to grab his own popcorn and just watch the Alex show.
