I feel so upset. Did you make any actions yet? I keep on calling USCIS but they say the same thing. "we are on july 18th filers now" :help:

Tried a e request to get the usual letter wait 120 days.

Talked to tier 2 guys at USCIS got "we are overloaded..." wait 60 days.

Tried Congressman, he told me he might get rfe soon that was 3 weeks ago.

Out of idea.

I hope it's okay if I'm posting this in several threads, just to get it the maximum possible attention (If not, just let me know and I'll stop/remove them if possible). We're planning to send letters to the director of service centers at the USCIS, in the hope of speeding up the process. Primarily the focus is the CSC, but VSC filers could send them too, the more we have, the better.

If you haven't seen the thread regarding sending letters to the Director. Head over here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421413-how-many-supporters-are-here/page__st__60

We're hoping to send letters to the Director starting Monday 1st April. We have a template letter which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TkQGEsuhb9-THqopSCVcNGESQEJSR1hKEQGjo5iPEj0/edit but you're welcome to write your own personal one if you wish.

Hopefully by flooding the director with letters showing our disapproval of the unacceptable wait time, something will be done to stop it spiraling more out of control than it already has.

Thanks.

I support the letter writing effort but I would like to suggest not sending anything important on April fools day, when such novel efforts may get misinterpreted...

Agreed, plus I'm willing to give one last chance to CSC on a Monday of a new month.

And the service center director is on vacation till Tuesday.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

Hi everyone, a bit of bad news if you filed a K1 with the California Service Center, I called them in regards to possibly expediting my case due to a medical emergency, a very friendly supervisor explained that they are running at least EIGHT weeks behind for June, July, August and September filers, and that their anticipated NOA2 approval time is now a minimum of seven months. Apparently most of the adjudicators have been pulled to deal with a backlog of Obama's Dream Act cases allowing children of illegal immigrants to obtain access to work permits which they have been flooded with, just bad timing I guess. All K1's filed in Spring of 2011 were approved within 100 days. I'll update this info if I hear back from them in regards to my expedite request, but plan on a minimum of seven months for a NOA2. :help:

Yes and being an early October filer makes it even worse. Looks like a fall interview, maybe?

My NOA1 was early September, I'm creeping up to the 7 month mark, have no idea what will happen to all the people who filed after me :clock:

Your lucky you can visit, I have no such option. I just got a new job so vacation time and cash are in short supply. Enjoy you trip, it may be much longer than we all think until the aprovals get moving again.
