And also, you don't need to present the Affidavit of Support until the actual interview at the consulate/embassy of your or your fiances country. Just send off all the other stuff first before you get to the I134

november,

The sponsor is the one who has the money.

The co-sponsor is a figment of the petitioner's imagination.

Quick Question... how are the main sponsor and cosponsor distinguished? Is it listed anywhere, or is it indicated verbally during the interview? Thanks

your fiancee is the primary sponsor if u want another sponsor that can be called the "co-sponsor"

ourlove,

Not necessarily true for non-immigrant visas. There are only sponsors, and the sponsor need not be the petitioner.

I was told (by an immigration lawyer within our family) that if the primary sponsor earned more than 10k during the previous tax year, they are required to file the I-134.

In my case, I am required to file it, but I am no longer working as a co-op where I was making the money... but a full-time student. So we also have a cosponsor.

When I went for my interview for K-1 at UK embassy.

I had my then fiancee as the main sponsor (she was a student).

I had her dad as the co-sponser.

At the interview they were only interested in the one with the money (dad).

So he was the "sponsor".

It can't help to take both - but in quite a few cases (all?) as Yodark said you sometimes don't have to have cosponsor.

NOTE that for the AOS the petitioner has to be the main sponsor I believe, even if they have no finances and then you will need a cosponsor.

I should add - it's not listed anywhere, and there's a reason why it isn't.
