Does anyone have an idea what happend to the I-129F processing at California Service Center. Since begin of December hardly any regular applications have been processed: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2

while Vermont processes several per day: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=2&option=2&sortby=2

Is California processing Vermont cases?

A couple of months ago, it was exactly the other way around. CSC was moving petitions through there at light speed, while VSC was slow. It goes back and forth, always has done, least as long as I've been around. It will pick up again and Vermont will go slow.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves USCIS processing. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Did you get that from any specific source that you can share with us CSC Filers or have you only heard whispers of such a delay?

I read it in one of the forums here, this is exactly what he posted:

Hi everyone, a bit of bad news if you filed a K1 with the California Service Center,

I called them in regards to possibly expediting my case due to a medical emergency,

a very friendly supervisor explained that they are running at least EIGHT weeks behind for June,

July, August and September filers, and that their anticipated NOA2 approval time is now a minimum of seven months.

Apparently most of the adjudicators have been pulled to deal with a backlog of Obama's Dream Act cases

allowing children of illegal immigrants to obtain access to work permits which they have been flooded with,

just bad timing I guess. All K1's filed in Spring of 2011 were approved within 100 days.

I'll update this info if I hear back from them in regards to my expedite request, but plan on a minimum of seven months for a NOA2.

Based on the reviews I have read about VSC and CSC since I found Visa Journey I was happy to know our case went to CSC but with this news ... now I'm not sure. Oh well, lets stay positive and have faith CSC wont let us down.

Fact is, the CSC is almost at a pause for some reason at the moment (probably the Differed Action - Dream Act). Just on the 9th there was signs of life and then pause again. Let's all wait to see if they get their bearings straight and get consistent again. I'm sure the Supervisors at the SCS aren't happy with the way things are currently looking and if there is any competition elements at all between the Service Centers, CSC are climbing the walls trying to get things back in some kind of order.

Let's all hope and pray for a productive week!

Rgds

I was just wondering. maybe we could all do something to make them work faster on our cases. it seems like they've done nothing the whole december and they were just sitting on out cases giving us the run around. Maybe if we could all blow up their phones everyday then they would start working on the cases filed in July. I saw cases filed in August that were already approved by December, and if they are working on first come first serve basis then that just aint right! :bonk:
