HK is a guy and his wife is the one applying for the visa. I'm pretty sure she'll be approved. They always take it easy on ladies. I seen 2 ladies get approved when I was at the embassy.

Hi just keeping you all updated my wife got approved today:)) her visa pickup date is 12/4.

I attended the interview with my spouse. (Our interviewer was the same lady as H93.) The Interviewer said we had everything ready and organized, she did not ask my spouse anything only me. It was a really short interview, they only questioned me since my English was well, all they asked from my spouse was her passport/ID.

*my thoughts to you all is have everything organized/up to date, have a bunch western union receipts, make sure you LABEL names, dates, and locations on your wedding photos and other pics, have proof that you have something connected to the states job, bills, receipts. Make sure u renew police certif. every 6months.

for me i printed out just the confirmation cuz it says to take it with me to the interview which i did and the embassy should have the application already in their system they dont need the print out. since the begining of this process i have been the one doing all the paper work for my husband and from my experience i am just saying thats the only thing needed .however if u think thats not enoughu should check to see what else u need

Please list me questions they asked you or your spouse?

I know I'm being annoying but please! Lol

Well it depends on the case .

but for us they asked me if i knew the sponser

asked me where my son was born

then he asked my husband how many siblings do i have and he had to name them from oldest to youngest .then he asked my husband what my address in the us was. then he asked him whos name was on the lease for the apartment. thats it

Congrats on your wife's approval! So did they give her a slip saying to come back on that day to pick up the visa? My fiancé is still waiting to get his passport back with the visa in it. He didn't mention that they gave him any slip of paper saying when to come back. They said they will call him when ready. It has been over 2 weeks, and the CEAC site says "Ready - Issued". It also says that if he doesn't hear within 10 days, to contact the Embassy. We have both tried to contact them, and no reply, just the generic response to the message you send. Getting extremely frustrated again, as my fiancé needs to return to work in another country but can't because they are holding his passport. Not sure what to do about this... thinking about contacting my Congressman again as every time I have contacted him and he checks into the case, things seem to start moving.

H93 had an appointment Oct 28, and she said the lady who interviewed her and husband said that it's a requirement for ppl who have been in Yemen a year or over. Now I don't know if that is really %100 true but you should take anything that ties you back to the us just in case they ask. Which is what I'm gonna do, and inshallah Khair for all of us November appointments!

My husbands app is tomorrow, so I'm very nervous and anxious but I have faith in Allah and whatever is meant to happen will.

I dnt think u have to worry about the money thing because if u lived with ur parents the interviwer would mostly assume they are the ones that are

supporting you financialy. and you have not been in yemen to long for them to ask for anythin . when i went with my husband to the interview they asked when i came to yemen and they didnt say anything and i came to yemen in september of2012 and our appointment was on may2013 so i was here for 9 months . and im still here but leaving this month inshallah

Inshallah thx!

And I've only been her for almost 9 months

But you never know what proof/papers they might ask.

So take something just in case, IMO

i dont think they will ask u for anything cuz its only 9 months and also if ur wife does get her visa soon u will be outta here soon inshallah
