Hi what questions did they ask her during the interview? What did she bring to the interview?

They asked her what city I live in. They asked about where I went to school. Also they asked about when we met and where. They asked about our children they said who is their father and obviously she said I am. It was a very quick short interview.

She brought all the papers she sent to the NVC and she brought a bunch of pictures of us throughout our relationship. And she brought hospital records of our twin boys with both of our names on it. She also brought two 5x5 passport photos. Affidavit of paternity/maternity and residence is also required she brought that too.

Her visa pickup date is November 25th, almost 2 months! Why do you guys think that is? Is that normal? How long does it take to get a visa stamp after an approved interview?

Why? Because it's US Emb Sanaa, that's why. They can and do take as long as they want without explanation. Don't fret - at least you know she was approved. She'll get her visa soon. She will need to file the CRBAs for the twins obviously so they can get their passports.

A big Mabrouk to you!

Allah yabarak feekom! I made sure she had all the documents for the CRBA and passport applications for both boys, but when she tried to show them to the consular officer he said I don't want that this appointment is for you not for them. Soooo annoying right? There's no way to make a CRBA appointment online idk what to do!

Yeah she is going to have to go back in for another appointment for your twins. If the appointment booking tool on the website isn't working, try emailing the ACS unit and tell them you need the CRBAs filed ASAP now that your wife's visa is due to be issued in November. SanaaACS@state.gov . If that fails, I would contact your state representative or senator's office. They can at least make inquiries with the State Department about when those appointment services will be available again. Good luck!

All the appointments are grayed out on the online appointment system so I can't schedule an appointment. I tried contacting the embassy with the email you provided but i get an automatic reply that says the consular section is closed (which is a lie). And Senator Debbie Stabebow is the one that helped my wife get an expedited visa appointment, and when I tried sending her a thank you letter, I got an automatic response that said the offices of senators/representatives are closed due to the government shutdown, so I won't be able to contact anyone about making an appointment, so I'm just stuck now.

Thank you :)

I emailed the embassy and they finally replied after saying numerous times that the consular section is closed (not true)

"When you have completed the forms, have gathered all of the required documentation, and are ready to submit your application, please ensure that you book an appointment via our website here."

How can I make an appointment!?!? It's impossible, there's no way to do it from the website all the appointments are not open.

Hi everyone,

As I told you guys before, my wife had a successful interview on Oct. 9th, and was told to come back and pick up her visa on November 25th, but I just checked the online Department of State website and put in my wife's Case Number and it said Administrative Processing!?? Here's exactly what it says:

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview"

That doesn't make sense! How could they tell her to come pick her visa up on November 25th and not tell her her case is in AP?

Maybe her case is on AP until November 25th. That's the only thing that could mean.

@Aladdins Don't worry if DOS website says ur case is under AP, it will change to visa issue in couple days

Hi 3ammer,

I'm hoping it will inshallah, but idk maybe sleepless_36 is right maybe they scheduled her visa pickup on Nov 25th, about 2 months after her interview, for administrative processing. I'm guessing its like that for most people that try to get visas in Yemen, because it said "Necessary Administrative Processing" so maybe everyone from Yemen gets AP nowadays.
