I requested my case on May 26 from Djibouti and on the 28 Ivyemen I recieved a email from both that they will transfer my case but threw experience with other people it's taking that time frame to transfer. And plus when u email the embassy in Cairo they don't give u accurate info

Has anyone been waiting more then 2 months to transfer

I dont know if its just me but i have noticed that the emails i am getting from the Embassy in Cairo dont sound OR look professional at all and to make matters worse they dont even answer the questions i am asking.

Did your case arrive to Djibouti yet? Did you get an interview appointment?

Same thing happened to me, there are misspellings in the emails I recieve, and totally does not answer questions related to the email that is sent. Like you said very unprofessional coming from a U.S. embassy.

How long has it been since u requested ur case from Cairo

No I requested my case a month ago nothing yet I called nvc they say my case was requested but nothing yet

40 days. This is crazy!! Maybe its because there are so many cases being transferred to Djibouti. My husbands roommate already got an appointment it took him just 2 weeks from case transfer to Appointment. Some people are just lucky or it could be that it takes longer from Embassy to Embassy. I think its easier when the case is still at NVC.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in CAIRO, EGYPT is willing to expedite this petition when we receive all the required fees, forms, and documents. As applicants for an immigrant visa at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in CAIRO must submit documents by email, please email all forms and documents to....When we receive the required forms and documents, we will review the information and then forward the file to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in CAIRO.

Did anyone get this when approved for expidite if I already sent the documents to nvc back in April do I need to send them again

Yes explain it to them, I don't think it will hurt to try. And you should have asked if your file had arrived in Djibouti or not.

After Emailing IVYemen this is what they replied with...

"Your case will be transferred to Djibouti and you will be contacted by the Embassy with instructions after they research your case to understand what information may be needed."

So frustrating!!!!! They are not even answering my question!

What email are you guys using to contact the US Embassy in Djibouti??
