Yesterday A family friend was denied entrance in to Ethiopia, even with a visa. He had received a work visa from the Ethiopian embassy in Sanaa. At the addis ababa airport he was told Yemeni and Libyan citizens are not allowed to enter. Then forced to travel back to Djibouti

I suggest contacting Ethiopian embassy or US embassy in Ethiopia before making travel arraignments

Kindly be advised that the US embassy does not help in granting Yemeni applicants any visas into Egypt, The applicants are responsible for arranging their travel to Egypt or the country of their choice prior to scheduling.

How long does it usually take after case has been expedited to show in transit? Mine got accepted on Wednesday and when I check status it said a nvc

Do they check passports before boarding the boat to Djibouti or do they check only when you arrive? I am asking this because I have my wife's passport and I am want her to board the ship and I can just meet her at the port with her passport.

No they need her passport with her I believe

Yes she needs her passport with her. She will get an exit visa stamped on it. By the way you cant have her passport with you Its illegal.

Yeah, I didn't really know that I thought I needed it for the visa process but yeah I made that mistake. Thanks for the info though.

When my fiance left a couple weeks ago, he said there were people on the ship with no passports. So I'm not sure if they're checking. I do know that 4 hours into the ship ride, they took everyone's passports and handed it to Djibouti immigration when they arrived.

Guys i want to warn you if you go to Djibouti there is no coming back!!!!!! The only way back to Yemen is if the war ends. Please warn people before they get stuck there.

Yea I heard that too and some relatives I know are stuck there until the war ends which is good too since it's safer
