It took a few days for my case to go into transit. Yes I whole heatedly agree with you be proactive do not quit. If they deny you request again and again try all the methods call everyone, email everyone, show them that you are not giving up because you are just another case to them and also don't forget the dua.

Is your expedite letter similar to mine? I'm still in disbelief they expedited my case

Yeah I was the same way, I actually got a call from NVC a day before I received an email from NVCexpedite. When the guy called me I was shocked I just started thanking him so much, I felt myself shaking a little.

Here is what was in the email I received the next day:

Dear Sir,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: [Case #] filed by [Me] on behalf of [My wife].

The U.S. Embassy processing [My wife]'s petition was changed to the Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.

The U.S. Embassy has reconsidered and accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy.

[My wife] is responsible for any travel costs to Egypt for the interview. Currently, the Egyptian government requires Yemenis ages 18-60 to obtain Egyptian visas prior to arrival in their country. Please contact the nearest Egyptian Embassy for information on how and where to apply for an Egyptian visa, and for updates on changes to their visa policy.

Please note that the U.S. Embassy may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to submit any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

This is the last communication I have gotten from them, I haven't received anything yet from the embassy.

I've requested an epedite on my case couple of times and both were denied. THe last one was when I was still in Yemen (around Oct.) when the problem just started and I stated that I was worried about my safetly and my husband's saftely and wanted to leave, but they still denied me. I even included statement about my student loans and that I need to start paying them, but they still denied me. I've called NVC so many times, I lost count. if you can provide us with a copy of what you exactly wrote I would greatly appreciate it. This whole process has been very stressful for me, but alhamduillah for everything.

Has anyone who was transferred from Yemen had their interview in Cairo already? I would love to hear about the experience. I've read and heard many negative things about the US embassy in Cairo. Please share.
