Hi all -

Update - Our K-1 Interview was July 23, 2014 and they told my fiance he was approved and they'd issue the visa in 2-3 weeks. It's been a month and a week and our case status still says ready for interview. It changed a couple of times but the last time it was updated was August 5 and still says Ready for Interview.

Also - we just received the letter in the mail to my US address notifying my fiance to attend the interview. The sad thing is that it was send A FULL MONTH after our interview date was complete. It also had the wrong interview date in the letter. It told us to get ready for our upcoming date of March 2013. I am very happy that my fiance begged them to email him the interview letter as well as mailing it because we would have missed this interview too just like we did the first one ( because they never called).

Also - they included a paper that I had never seen in the letter that arrived this week, asking for home phone numbers of relatives and neighbors of my fiance. I am confused on what to do because it seems like they wanted him to bring this to the interview. At the interview they asked him to fill out the same letter but he couldn't remember any phone numbers expect for one friends cell phone number. I think this is how they will do background checks to make sure we are not legally married thus voided the eligibility for the K-1 visa. I don't know if we should fill it in and then scan it to them via email or not. I don't want things to slow down in case they need this, but also don't want to complicate things. It says on the bottom of the letter if these numbers are wrong it will delay your case.

I am so sorry for everybody that has to go through this embassy. Please if you have any advice on what I should do.

How long have you been in Yemen? And if you have been here for more than a year and you don't have a utility bill I would suggest not to go with your husband inside the embassy. Just wait for him outside or something. From what it seems to be they're just gonna tell him to drop off paperworks or his ID. You don't want them to see you and then start asking other type of questions. That's what I think you should do.

Hey guys so I went with my husband to his appointment despite wat might happen I took the chance even tho ppl were telling me not to risk it since I had been in Yemen for over a year and we were refused..........JK WE GOT APPROVED AND WERE GIVEN A PICK UP SLIP AND TOLD THE SAME AS OTHERS THAT WE SHOULD GET A CALL IN 3 WEEKS TO COME PICK UP THE VISA!!! Hey for anyone who has finished their visa journey or just knows the answer to my question, do you know if you can pay the $165 visa fee at the Embassy's cashier the day you pick up your visa or only online?
