Some of our other Yemeni friends have not done a timeline though. Not that it's super important, but it can be helpful for others to see how long the wait has been. Regards!

I can appreciate venting. I'm so tired of this. Our lawyer as well wrote every other Arab embassy and none would accept a Yemeni case. Also upset that they had scheduled an appointment and never told us about it until after it was over. That was upsetting.

Wow that's so sad that no other Arab us embassy is accepting Yemeni cases. I don't know what's going on? I don't understand how they could not notify you of your appointment. How long have you been waiting since then?

Well I am a little different because I am a K1. My fiance is Yemeni so the process is different. Our NOA2 was in october 2013 and then we were sent a letter to my home in the US with the appointment date in March. The appointment date they gave us was March 19 and we got the notice letter March 23. So we couldn't make it because the date had already passed. Since then we wrote and let them know but we have not gotten another date. Just such a shame especially because we had written the embasssy and that week of March 19 they had told us we did not have an appointment via email..

Just a note they actually postmarked the letter after the proposed date it wasn't that the mail was slow.

That's just ridiculous!

Keep calling the NVC for an update on a appointment & make sure that the have your best email on file so they can keep in contact with you, keep emailing the consul, and keep checking your case file online to see when was it last touched.

Your all in prayers!

-Remember patience it will come

SALAM

I GOT THIS EMAIL

Dear Madam or Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry. Some visa applications, such as this one, require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa is approved by a consular officer. There is no timeframe for this to be completed, as administrative processing times vary depending on the circumstances of each case.

Once the visa is ready to be delivered, we will contact the applicants with a new appointment.

Best,

Sana’a IV Unit
