Did they say they'll schedule another interview or did they tell you to send the documents in when you have another co-sponser?

Sorry, I know you must be bummed but insha'Allah your husband will get it as soon as he gives them what they're asking for.

The co-sponsor for our case is my brother in law. He doesn't have the same last name as me or my husband. Does that count as a 'family member?'

I can't speculate on who M-Y-B's co-sponsor was, but if the person wasn't working [ie: having a steady income] or had a large household or many dependents already maybe his or her savings weren't enough. Yafa is right they don't like to accept non-family members as co-sponsors. They say it's a formula but it's still up to CO discresion. M-Y-B, do you work or have any assets? Can't remember if you're here in the US or Yemen but if you don't work at all right now then getting even a part time job with the co-sponsor may be enough. ISA you'll figure out a way.

H93 - that should be okay as long as you can prove familial ties. Is this your husband's half brother? Birth certificates from both of them with the same parent (father or mother) would be helpful, or other documented evidence. Because civil records are so, frankly, poorly kept in Yemen I think the Embassy can only rely on the evidence you submit.

Was the sponsor a family member. They are looking for a Yemeni sponsor and they prefer a family member.

i sent saana an email asking if my sponser has to be a yemeni or related to me and they said no he doesnt not have to be a yemeni and could be a friend, relative or,college.

hey Sarah I heard what happend with your Husband, when they asked him do you know the sponser he said my wife's family dose, so that answer is the reason they told him to get another sponser, I heard this from people where there today with him,

He should've say that he knows him

Did they give you another interview date? what questions where asked to him exactly during the interview?

For the Affidavit of Residence papers did they ask for that during the interview?

If you go back to one of my Replies I mentioned that the Beneficiary should know the sponsor and they ask Questions about him at the time of the interview
