My husband tried the walk-in for his biometrics today and had no trouble at all getting it done!!

One step closer....

Glad to hear that! I will be curious to see if it speeds up your petition. I did some searching for Seattle and early biometrics walkins and unfortunately didn't really find much that was positive. There was one lady on VisaJourney who said she was 9 months pregnant so tried to go early and ended up waiting for 5 hours while others kept going in front of her and ended up just leaving and trying to reschedule. Others experienced many hour waits too without luck and others were turned away. Apparently Seattle is very busy and it doesn't work too well. I am not sure if I want to waste an entire day for nothing. If only I had some type of solid proof or some very good examples from others where going in early DID speed up the process. If it doesn't make any difference I will just wait and avoid the hassle.

That's the big question, does it speed up the process at all? Who knows. We were lucky to be sent to a little office very close to my house so there was nothing to lose by trying. He was in and out in about 15 minutes.

Well those who did an early biometrics appointment, have received their interview letter earlier than the others who went on their scheduled bio appointment. I think it also depends on processing centers, some have more demand than others, making the early walkin's impact small. But yeah, from what i have been reading, it somewhat speeds up the interview scheduling.
