Hi Tigerflower, we are right there with you in the "waived interview" endless pile. Looks like our timelines are still very similar, ever since back in the March filer days. Our spouses will probably get their GC right about the same time as well. :-) Hope you all are doing well.

Hi Starflyer 59! Sorry you are still waiting, but at least we're not alone in this. Crazy how long even this process takes for some. At least we don't have to wait separated this time.

Exactly! The wait together is much more bearable than the wait for the initial visa was. It hasn't seemed like more than 5 months has already gone by since we applied for AOS. Good luck to you all.

Manila Interview: 10/24/2012 - Approved
US Entry: 11/15/2012

Received EAD/AP card: 3/26/2013

Good luck to you, too!! It does make it a little easier knowing the toughest part (K1) is behind us. My heart goes out to those who are still waiting. All we can do is wait. You are right - this wait seems a little quicker.

Has anyone been tracking how long AOS has been taking without an interview? I haven't done anything compared to waiting for the K-1 now that we are together. But we are talking about moving and such so now I am starting to wonder what times are like. The NBC has no information and my local office in Chicago says November 25 according to the update in May. Are we supposed to be going off the local office times?

I guess it doesn't always pay to fill out all of the forms perfectly...

Anyway, to answer JnJ13's question, USCIS customer service says that the processing window is actually 1 year, so even though the local office says that they were processing forms from November as of May 31st, no action (beyond normal processing) will be taken by USCIS until Jan 2014. I just hope everything gets moving before my wife and I move in a little more than a month.

I don't know where you heard that because, I have friends that put in their service request, and it was accepted based upon the local office processing times by either calling USCIS or doing e-request. They ALL received their GC afterward. I am waiting as well at NBC, and I plan to put in my service request at 7 months.

Even so, they are basing the local office processing times off of data that is two months old (since it was as of May 31st). That means that even though my office says that it was processing cases that were submitted on November 21st, 2012 as of May 31st (meaning that they should theoretically be processing cases submitted on January 16th, 2013), they won't let you submit an e-request unless your case was submitted on or before November 21st.

Since there has been some recent comments on here about processing times, I thought I would give them a call today since we are at the 6 month mark. The lady asked for our location and told me the normal processing time is 4.5 to 5.5 months and the application is now beyond that. Since my husband is not with me, she told me to call back when he is on the phone so they can submit a service request. We will do that later and hopefully we can actually submit one. I guess we will see what happens. I have low expectations LOL biggrin.png

This is the same problem I have. They conveniently are two months behind on their reporting, so you can't call them out on it.

After reading everyone's replies, I decided I would check my case status today and call tomorrow BUT my case status said my card is IN PRODUCTION :D yay! And when we got home tonight we had a letter waiting for us saying my application had been approved on Monday! So keep your heads up fellow January filers! :-)
