On a side note- going to Canada for the first time since moving here this weekend. I am taking my EAD/AP combo, passport and marriage certificate. Should suffice right?

Thanks for the link! We'll be traveling up to my hubby's home town next month and I always like to bring stuff to the in-laws. I was wondering what the limits were. I always bring my father-in-law "half price beer" LOL I can't believe what they charge for the stuff in BC.

we just returned from ukraine 3 weeks ago and it seems the airlines does not teach the reps at the airport about just what an ap/ead card is they almost did not allow sveta to return home and I was just waiting for the embassy to open and was going rip them a new tail. my point is if you are flying call the boarding airport in canada for return and make sure they know save you little problems later... we also sitting in this gc waiting game at nbc

not yet few days ago Houston was listed as working on November and just 2 days ago went back to 4 months to odd thing is it also said last update was April 30th lol . maybe can make time next week to call for updates as My work is buzy . btw have you called? not sure if you have read but sveta is 6 weeks pregnant

Returned from my first trip out of the USA, as a Green Card holder.

I flew from Hawaii into (Buffalo) New York, then crossed over to Canada (Fort Erie). It was a 12 hour flight, and when asked for my Green Card at the boarder, I couldn't find it, I was so tired, but knew I had it. The guard, said he believed me that I had it, and waved us through. *My dad picked me up at the airport; cheaper to fly within the USA. Returning to the USA, the boarder guard asked if I had a Nexus Card, I answered, "yes, but I don't have it with me." He says, "you must have it somewhere, it has a microchip in the card & we're picking it up". "OH, that's my Green Card', and I proudly flashed it. The guard was impressed, how flashy it was. BUT really, he never asked to see it.

And that is all I have to report.

I drove so they knew what they were doing. I got pulled into secondary and all that. But I will keep that in mind if I do fly! Have you called about your status? I don't expect anything until later this year so I am not going to bother calling for awhile.. Once it gets closer to my card expiring I will though!

Hi Tigerflower, we are right there with you in the "waived interview" endless pile. Looks like our timelines are still very similar, ever since back in the March filer days. Our spouses will probably get their GC right about the same time as well. :-) Hope you all are doing well.
