So, I was just wondering, the officer told us we were approved pending approval of his superior and logging into USCIS put us at Card document production and said it would be here in 30 days.

I just checked it again and now it has backtracked to decision instead and says the following:

"On April 23, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Why did it change? What is ADIT processing????

This is normal. Ours change to say the same thing for a few days. Soon it was updated with our tracking information. No worries!

 Congratulations!!

Thanks sk8rpatty you have no idea how relieving it is to hear that. I get so anxious about this immigration stuff sometimes!! Thanks everyone for being so helpful and patient with all the questions. It's really appreciated!

Jordan is travelling back to Canada today. I know his family will be thrilled to see him again. I fly up Friday and we start the drive back with his things on Sunday. He'll finally have all his things moved down here. We'll be crossing at Sumas, hope it all goes smoothly.

Thinking positive thoughs for VeeNDee today.

Have fun there! Down here in WA it is pretty much the same weather as BC. Last week was all rainy but this week is projected to be sunny and has been beautiful! Never been to Sumas crossing myself although my best friend used to live a few streets away from it. Lots of farms! How long of a drive back will it be for you?

Got my 'Welcome to USA' NOA yesterday... they sent 2?

looking forward to my home town visit in June.

Did it make you feel welcome? hehe

It's like they always say, you don't realize how much you have until you have to move it all! We have a pretty small apartment so we had to store a bunch of stuff at my husband's parents' place. They've been very helpful!

No problem! I freaked out when I read that too. I was searching here and everywhere and finally found out it was a normal "status". I was still very relieved when it finally changed.

I've crossed there several times. The first time I was sure I was lost. lol I would fly into Bellingham when I would visit him since it was an easier drive then from Vancouver. I think it's about 1,300 miles and hope to do in 2-3 days. We made the drive before in his car, which was fun, this time in a 12' moving van....probably not so much. lol

No doubt. I lived in my house 22 years before we moved here. The whole time I had to hear comments about how much stuff (or #######) I had collected over those years. Lots of trip to The Salvation Army. Now it will be my turn to tell him to get rid of some of his #######...I mean stuff.

That was really nice of them. Jordan's stuff has been stored in his parents garage this whole time. His dad is thrilled we're finally getting it out of there.

Still on acceptance stage too

Got my biometrics almost 3 months ago so I guess I am one of those who wont get an interview but will have to wait forever to get the green card. It's a huge problem for me because all the jobs I applied for refused to hire me without it even if I have a valid EAD...

Just that they don't hire people who don't have a green card. I must specified that I applied for jobs in banking which is where the essential of my work experience and also my education is... Sure, I could apply for a job in a fast food chain at the minimum wage (5$/hour or so) but just choose not to. I know as an immigrant I should not be that picky but at the same time, I still think that that kind of job would just make me miserable. I have much more pride about staying home and taking care of my man than flip burgers at 5$/hour...

Sigh, people's insistence on a greencard is so frustrating. It's like because we don't have one yet we get lumped together with illegals. Wake up and smell the coffee people. WE HAVE AN EAD. WE ARE LEGALLY HERE AND LEGALLY ALLOWED TO WORK!!! Educate yourselves already! /grumble /rant over

I had to to deal with a CBP officer in Seattle who insisted I couldn't import my car without a greencard on a K1 visa. He was completely and utterly incorrect, but every CBP website link I referred him to, the logic I used, examples of other people, asking to speak to his superior-he didn't give a rats you know what. He just kept saying that he couldn't help me without a greencard. It was almost like I wasn't a human being without one ><

Flash forward a few weeks and I successfully imported my car at a different CBP location who actually KNEW what they were doing. Maybe you will run into someone with some knowledge yet who will hire you. Hang in there katchoo12!
