Called again USCIS and been told that my EAD/AP card is in production. Well, thought she has been useful with at least this info, but checked online and I can see my employment case status today! LOL.

No news on the I-485, I guess I might not be called for an interview then, it's been over a month since the biometrics.. probably the case status will change online like it did today with my EAD once they update something...

Feel better tho that my EAD/AP card is gonna be on its way soon!!! :)

Just received another message that my EAD is in production...but I got the same message on monday...do they notified when they send EAD or not?

Yes! If you go to USCIS and my case status there will be a USPS tracking number! I found that out on the day it arrived lol So once its sent you should be able to track it! Mine took a day or two I think after it was produced.

Same here, not sure what that meant.

I think it just means they are making your card! It looks like a really cool drivers license lol

Hi everyone,

so just now i received an update on the EAD, but i am concerned because basically it is still under review but it says:

"On March 8, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance. "

Our address did not change! Has anyone seen this before?

thanks.

Biometrics done today. What a gong show. I showed up at 8am sharp, went through security and was given a number on a piece of paper. The guard at the front told me to sit down and wait for my number to be called in the room next door which I did. Only, they didn't call my number. Or any number. When I had come in there was a line of people at a window and I just sat there waiting for it to be done thinking they'd call numbers. But they didn't. People would come in. Some would sit down and wait, others would go to the window where a lady was, she'd take their papers and they'd go inside another door. Finally at 9am when no numbers had been called I got up and waited in the line too. I hadn't wanted to 'budge' but was tired of people coming in and leaving while I waited. The lady took my papers and told me they had to do a name check (presumably because I was married and my AOS application was a different name than my passport). She took my ID and told me to sit down and wait again. So I did.... for 20 more minutes, watching people. No numbers were called. Finally, she called me up by name and gave me the paperwork/ID back and a new number on a big piece of paper and told me to sit back down in the same room and wait for my number to be called. At this point I was starting to get really frustrated. Another 20 minutes went by and no numbers called while more people came in, and some went through. Awhile later a lady came out of the other room with some papers and called a few people over by name and brought them in. I went up to her and showed her my number and asked if I was supposed to wait in the big room or the other room. She said she'd check, and never returned. I waited another 20 minutes. Finally the lady behind the counter got out and said to everyone in the room in a loud voice "Our system is down. If you are waiting for your number to be called, it won't be. Ignore it and line up by the window, single file." A ton of people went and lined up. Did it REALLY have to take them 2 hours to tell people the numbers weren't going to be called?? There was even a sign on the wall saying don't come up to the counter until you are called. If the system was down, why did the guy at the front tell people to sit down and wait for their number to be called. Basically if you tried to do what you were told you sat there 2 hours and if you were impatient seemingly you could go straight in and out. AGHHH!!!

Finally after 10 they called a few numbers, and took my fingerprints and picture. I didn't have to swear an oath but I didn't see anyone else do that either so hopefully it wasn't necessary. Also on the paper they gave me it asked amongst other things for my SSN but I don't know it off by heart yet and didn't think I was supposed to carry it around with me so left it blank - hopefully that won't matter.

Oh, also, they said I had to circle what benefits I was applying for but only AOS and EAD showed up and I couldn't find AP anywhere so hopefully that doesn't mean anything.

What with rush hour traffic going both ways it took over 4 hours of my day to get that done. So much for my quick 5 minute biometrics appointment!

Just had to rant! Now I guess we wait and see what happens next.
