Dear friends,

We recently received an email notice from USCIS saying that our case (I-485 ) is under testing and interview status. It says a letter will be mailed out shortly to let us know what date or/and what to bring to an interview.

We are kinda happy that our case is being considered , however at the same time we are really worried that this may be way too fast.

Background:

We mailed in our 485, 765, 130 on Dec 4th 2012. My husband had an fingerprint on the 27th of Dec.

Any input would be greatly appreciated guys,.

Somebody punched up the wrong response message. For some reason they think you're applying for US citizenship.

Dear friends,

We just had our interview today at the San Bernardino Office (CALIFORNIA). The wait was bout 45 mins. The interview was about 2 minutes long. the procedure was:

1) Sworn in

2) The IO asked :ARE WE STILL MARRIED?

3) Standard question: Beneficiary: Name, Address, SSN , name of father and mother, criminal record.

4) Standard question: Petitioner: Name, Address, Phone number

5) IO took my i-94

6) IO handed over a paper says CONTINUED TO ACTION. There are several check boxes on the letter ( It goes by timeframes 30 days, 90days, 180 days), Mine was checked with "An adjudicative review of your case is needed. No additional information is required from you at this time".

7) IO walked us out saying a decision will be mailed within 2-3 weeks.

+++++ SHE WENT SO FAST THAT MY WIFE ANSWERED HER PLACE OF BIRTH INSTEAD OF DATE OF BIRTH. ++++++++

Experience:

The IO was really nice and professional. She did not ask much about the application. She just asked anything else that we want to submit to support our case. We wanted to give her more photos, but she said " I have plenty of your photos to go through", and she smiled at the stack at the corner of the desk.

The whole thing went so fast that we were very confused when we walked out. It was so nice that she did not ask much, but not on he same note, it seems so fast to a immigration process.

We went home and looked further into the sentence "An adjudicative review of your case is needed. No additional information is required from you at this time.". There are mixed results on the net about this letter. Some say that it means the case is in further review, some say the case is approved . While we were still shaking, we received a text from USCIS saying that both i-130 and i-485 were updated. Crossing our fingers, logged in USCIS, they both say " APPROVED".

At this point , we were still not so sure, I decided to call USCIS 1800, the lady said " the USCIS will send you your documents shortly, please wait."

NICE! Now I am officially a GREEN CARD HOLDER.

BACKGROUND:
