Hi guys, we got an RFE a couple of weeks ago, and mailed the documents back to USCIS last friday, using USPS. It was through priority mail/delivery confirmation but no signature was required since its a PO box. However I checked the tracking number but it says

"We attempted to deliver your item at 10:46 am on January 07, 2013 in LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002 and a notice was left because an authorized recipient was not available. You may arrange redelivery by visiting www.usps.com/redelivery or calling 800-ASK-USPS, or may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

So I called the post office and the rep told me it could be because the box was full.

Anyway what do we do now?

1- do we just wait and see if someone from USCIS goes pick it up at the post office? (I doubt that will ever happen)?

2- or do we mail the missing form over again?

they will re-attempt the rest of the week.

at some point, it'll be delivered and you'll get the confirmation of it.

No Sweat, from you, for now.

Freak out in 3 weeks, though, if no delivery confirmation.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

USCIS has a designated person that goes to the post office and picks up everything at the same time, and signs for it. It will probably get picked up today before the post office closes, don't worry. It's not lost or anything, its just waiting for someone to pick it up from USCIS.

Thank you guys. I just checked and it now says that it was delivered later in the day.

Does anyone know how long USCIS takes to notify applicants that they received a reply to a RFE?

Thanks Sarah, I did check my status online this morning and It has changed to "RFE Response Review", and a message saying they got it so now hoping we don't get anymore RFE and waiting for the next step.
