Hi guys,

Need some help, when my fiance went on his interview today, everything went well.. the consulate at the end said these words to him "congratulations you are approve" and you will recieve your visa in 3 days :hehe:.. but than i thought that if we are approve wouldnt we get a pink slip but instead got a 221g blue sheet. SO i thought we were on AP since he is a pakistani, but the AP box was not checked but when we check our case on the website it said immigrant visa issue..but i thought we were non-immigrant, does it mean that after he is aprove does it mean it is consider immigrant visa now..I dont know if i should celebrate or wait patiently to see what's going on ....and they keep his passport too.. .. and one thing more the consular said that we need to go on this link http://usvisa-info.com and create account so we can get our visa thru the mail..maybe the 221g is for us to provide that information.. any opinion is helpful thanks

The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, but it is processed through the immigrant visa section of the consulates. It doesn't turn into an immigrant visa, they just tend to treat it like one because the intent of the K-1 is to marry in the US and stay and adjust status to permanent resident.

Sounds to me like it was approved, like the CO stated. I am not sure why they gave him the 221g though. Create an account on the usvisa-info website and see if it gives you more info and allows you to track the visa delivery.

it does sound confusing as the CO said he was approved, yet issued a 221g. are you sure the CO didn't ask for anything else from your fiance? Good luck!!

yes im sure everything was complete no box checked or anything... but only a website on the 221g to go and register post office to recieve the visa , the consular even explain to him too. I told my fiance why you didnt ask them that why we got the 221 g for he said he doesnt want to make any problem :S .. just waiting now if we wil get visa.. status update on the site is still the same for our case "Visa Issue"

We are too still waiting for ours to get delivered. My wife got approved on the 7th after the interview in the US embassy in Abu Dhabi. The consular told us to go to visa-info.com to register so visa and passport can be delivered to us through Emirate post. After registering on the website, I have checked the tracking status over twenty times but all I see is "There is no information on the DHL Waybill Number at this time"..DHL?? You mean EMPOST?? I am so confused..

I don't know how long it will take until something shows up.

@@mirpeArL, please let us know when you see any update on yours.

to the petitioners:

Call DoS Hotline on Monday, inquire for casefile status, asking specifically -

is the casefile in administrative processing, or additional processing, or administrative review?

Then post yer answers back here, after that phone call.

DoS Hotline # in my profile - click the girls, study left panel

GOOD LUCK !
