Under section 16 of the EAD (I-765) it ask for the Eligibility Category from Part 2 of the instructions. That's easy, it's (a)(6) for us. Then it says "Eligibility under 8 CFR 274a.12". What the heck is this? I don't see anything in the instructions that corresponds to something that would have three ( )( )( ) in it.

I'm going blind reading and filling out these things. This is the last question for the evening, and then I'm taking a break.

Thank you as always,

~Liza

If you are applying for the EAD card along with your AOS as a K-1 you want to use C9. If you file A6 you only get an EAD card that's good for the period the K-1 status is valid, i.e. 90 days. If you go with C9 you get a one year card.

Ditto.

And don't worry about the third (), just fill in the first two.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused (not surprising actually).

Let me make sure I understand -

I only need to put (a)(6), and I don't have to fill out the part under it where it has the three empty ( )( )( ) - right?

Thanks for your help!! I honestly don't know how people do this without VJ.

You only need to put ©(9). And you're good to go.

DANG!!!!! Good thing I looked back here today!!

Thanks everyone - sometimes I don't know how many times I can read something, and just get more and more confused by it.
