All people driving drunk are criminals.

And as we've learned in the other thread, drunk drivers are more likely to be gun owners since gun owners tend to drive drunk more than non gun owners. Should these criminals really have guns? I don't think so.

Actually drunk drivers oftentimes survive accidents they cause that kill others. So not as silly as you make the example sound.

As did the azzhole that ran over my son! Yes, Hershey runs, banning drunk driving did not save my son. It takes more than passing laws. The laws MUST be passed first and then they must be enforced aggressively and without exception with penalties sufficient to make offenders afraid! This principle applies regardless of the issue. Gun control, to be effective, must be uniform state-to-state and must be directed at points in the process where enforcement is practical without violating people's right to privacy. With alcohol it only remains in the system for hours. Guns, unfortunately, remain in the system for centuries. But centuries from now they can be grateful we took the steps now to begin ridding ourselves of this scourge of gun violence!

Your analogy was using a drunk driver to stop drunk driving, is liking using a gun to stop a criminal. That is as stupid if not more so than the using a flood to stop a flood analogy.

Let me try again.. We have law abiding gun owners that use guns responsibly. Everyone that drives drunk is breaking the law. There is not one case I am aware of that driving drunk has saved a life.

I agree. effective measures that will not infringe on the rights of people to own guns legally. I am all for it. Assault weapon bans are not the answer.

No white people, so nobody notices when the horrible mass shooting do happen?

Detroit police refuse to release mass shooting suspect's description

Chicago Shootings: At Least 19 Wounded By Gun Violence Thursday, 13 Over 30 Minutes

Both of these were on your map.

That's two, out of a lot more in other areas. Littleton, Aurora, Newtown, Oak Creek, etc. I didn't say they never happened in Detroit or Chicago, I said single, mass shootings TEND to happen elsewhere.
