Oh man did you know I would love that!? I seriously want to buy metal sporks to replace our spoons and forks. When I was in college I would go to Taco Bell to stock up on plastic sporks but they stopped carrying them! I had one left and now it hangs from my rearview mirror in my car.

That's hilarious! The very first spork I've seen was the first time D. took me to Taco Bell.

I was like: HOLY ######, these things EXIST. NO f'in WAY, I'm keeping this spork forever and always.

But I think it ended up in the trash anyhow. But now I always order the cheesy fiesta potato, so they give me a spork with it.:lol:

Congrats Raspberry, great work!!!

Keep it up, you're doing great!

:D

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Excellent Job! You should be really proud of yourself and just think how much better your health is, not to mention how nice your clothes and hair probably smell now too. That was the first thing I noticed when I quit, how nice my hair smelled! Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon and have to go through the quitting again. I lasted 4 months without one and thought "One won't hurt". How wrong was I?

Anyway, I went to the dentist yesterday and she told me that I have to have gum surgery - thanks to the years of damage smoking has done.! I always thought I took pretty good care of my teeth, but she said that I have to have my gums peeled back to the bone to clean the areas where cigarettes have done their damage!

I am going to quit first thing in the morning. I said I would be a non-smoker when I go for my next appointment. That's next Monday, the 10th. I am going to do it this time. If I had never started I would never have had to undergo, what I can only imagine, is an incredibly painful procedure.

Raspberry, you go girl!

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

 Awesome. Best of luck!

I joined quitplan.net to help me with daily e-mail reminders of how much money I've saved and how many cigs NOT smoked.

And yes, I do notice the smell or lack thereof rather. My husband is a smoker still and this place just reeks when I wake up. It's horrible. I don't know why I ever started smoking in the first place. I think it was boredom. I should have found a different hobby.

With the money I've saved, I'm buying myself something special for X-mas. :star:
