Philly does not do same day oath. They used to give out oath letters for next week's date at the end of successfull interviews, but that too is not done anymore. Now, the oaths are scheduled and letters are sent at a later date. The good part is that they still are doing multiple (administrative oath) ceremonies twice a week I.e. on Mondays and Fridays

I remembered that you posted this and dug it up. Richard's Philly interview was yesterday and he was told (he passed) and about eight weeks for the oath. I was surprised and was sure it would be at the latest next month. I guess we'll see. I saw they did Mondays since the folks were lined up for what I understood was a second oath session of the day (11 am.) It was exciting to see the families dresses up, carrying flags and even wearing funny Uncle Sam hats. I was born here and looking, I took a deep breath and I had renewed appreciation for what I had and where I was I from. BTW For everyone who took the test (and their spouses) who have never been to Philly, a number of question pertain to Philadelphia. If you every have the opportunity to visit, please do. It really is a historic wonderland.
