Do you still remember how long before you get your marraige certificate from NSO after you get married?

Added you as a friend na.

Also responded to your query on another thread.

About NSO, you can have the process expedited. It is called "advanced endorsement"... Meaning, your marriage certificate can be NSO certified in 5 to 6 weeks instead of months.

Ask your local civil registrar about it. We did ours in Taguig City... We had to pay for LBC and the certified copy they sent to NSO. Then, the registrar aent it to NSO Main. Look up this link to my past thread on this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/371544-advanced-endorsement-of-marriage-contract-certificate-to-nso/

Hi hoping19 I'm from philippines. We sent our Marriage certificate from Nso I don't think certified copy is acceptable :-) good day

You sent your original Marriage cert with your I-130? You should have just sent a copy. You may want to see if your spouse can get a another certified copy in case they lose your original during the I-130 process.

Yeah now i know i will keep the originals. I have a daughter with my soon to be hubby. I will send also her birthcertificate?as proof of our bonafied marriage..

But in the birth certificate written that were not married. Our marriage will be on march or april this year..

Do.you.think my daughter's birth certificate they will accept that as one of our proof?

The marriage certificate will be enough to prove bonafide marriage!

What you have to prove is a bonafide relationship prior to marriage, pictures of you over the years, e mails, chats, phone calls etc etc

Check the CR-1 guides here on VJ. Guides here are very informative. :)

I also have a list of proof my husband sent for the I-130 http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/407137-i-130-proof-of-relationship-good-enough/

As for your daughter's birth certificate, you said you have not married yet? They may ask for a paternity test. But, I don't really know. Better to use the search tool on here and look for threads that discuss that issue.

If you have a question, it's most likely it has been asked before :luv:

Fcat, unfortunately, for the Philippines, it is better to send the NSO certified copy, not just a plain copy :)

Paternity test not needed if the father and mother's names are listed on the Birth Certificate of the daughter.

I just wanted to check in with the January filers. Our priority date is January 15th, I got the hardcopy NOA1 on January 24th, but the case number still doesn't show up on the uscis website. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah, that's normal. My case status didn't show up for two months, a month after it had actually been transferred to the field office. Don't worry about it. If you are burning to find out whether your case is OK, call the USCIS.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Nice avatar of Jupiter! ;)

Anyway, I still haven't gotten our hard copy. Is the notice date same as the receiving date?

The notice date is January 16th, I got the text and the e-mail on the 17th, and I guess it took a week for the hardcopy to arrive in the mail.

I see. Then, i guess my trips to our PO box were obviously futile.

Hope to receive the hard copy tomorrow! :)

May I ask how you found out your case was transferred to your field office? The reason I ask is I called USCIS today to inquire about my I-130 transfer to my field office and the agent told me that stand alone I-130 petitions are not processed at local field offices. This information seems inconsistent with the information I am gathering from VJ. I've heard that many agent on the customer care hotline are not informed about the new procedures. This agent told me my case would remain at NBC and be processed there.

I am the petitioner.
