so far we are the two I-130 submissions with a 1/14/13 NOA1 for Jan 2013 filers that are waiting. each day goes by and I see more and more forum members getting their NOA2. so I got to believe ours is just around the corner.

23rd jan 2013 first NO1 i got intent to deny in 2nd may 2013 and send the missing papers in the 15th may and i am still waiting

Well it took a while but the Tampa Office finally came through. I went online and found this:

On June 7, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice.

This is the FIRST time I am able to pull anything up by using my case number. Our time has finally arrived. NOA2 to be sent in the mail. Now I have to read up on the NVC process, doing this on my own just like most everyone on this forum. Very grateful for all the help and tips. No RFEs!!!!!!

Jan 30 PD. This wait is horrible. I'm almost at the 5 month mark.

Trying to schedule infopass but it gives me some error about how they're full and we have to try back later.

I guess its wait and drink for us.

Still no NOA2 for me.. (Jan 31 NOA1).

My hubby called USCIS last friday, and spoke to a Tier 2. The lady was very polite, and said that the last activity on our case was March 13. Apparently they had put out a request to the Orlando office for information, and are still waiting. What kind of information would they be waiting for? The agent also said that our case will be staying at NBC.

The agent then tactfully avoided answering when we could expect an approval, and said that we will have to be patient because they have a huge backlog right now. They also wouldn't answer the question of processing dates, and again said we had to be patient.

we are not eligible for electronic filing with NVC so there is a delay and cost of overnight delivery. Additionally, NVC wants all original supporting documents. This presented a problem because Hanh had posession of them in VN. So she sent them to me DHL last week and I just received them. Tonight I will compile the NVC packet with the DS-230 and get it (and a copy) to them overnight mail tomorrow. The process is simple enough but I think there is some confusion due to logic and beaurocracy. I dont see why the NVC needs the originals since they are validated at the interview. Also, its not a good idea to be passing original documents back and fourth around the world. If possible, I recommend trying to compile two files with originals for each person. It will help speed the process along and you will always have backup. Another recommendation: Hanh and I visited the consulate before we submitted the I-130 with all the documents (and forms) completed. This gave us the opportunity to have a consulate official review our packet to ensure complleteness and accuracy. I believe that doing just that has given us peace of mind in knowing we are submitting everything they need and speeding the process along. I'm also sure that the consulate will remember Hanh when its time for the interview due to the overwhelming remarks they made about our organization and presentation of the documents.

Good luck everybody! Its long and frustrating but attention to detail does help.
