This is really painful!!! We still have not been approved. We're sitting here watching others with the same priority dates being approved while we still wait....I'm pretty sure there are others in the same boat as us..... Are there????? Congratulations to those who have already been approved and may the rest of us who are still waiting be blessed with patience. God Bless.....

Yes, we're waiting too. I'm sure there's lots of us still waiting. Hang in there...

The process is out of control. It is the best example of bureaucratic rule. Hang in there and try not to be frustrated. Knowing what it is, is helpful in understanding why it is not responsive to our needs. Once the process is over and we are united with our loved ones, we all can get on with our lives.

Just on a whim I decided to check our case status online today and it indicates Post Decision Activity and says our I-130 has been approved! I feel like I'm dreaming. The case status never showed up until this point. I hope it's right! It says they mailed the notice on May 16, so I should be getting the hardcopy soon.

I really hope those still waiting get news like this soon. I prayed every night and my prayers were answered. Have faith and you'll get through it.

Thank you! I sure hope this means other Jan filers will be getting their NOA2s soon. I wasn't expecting to get ours this quick. Thought it would be by end of June at the earliest. Remember, I'm living in the US and my wife is overseas. So hopefully that means others in the same situation will get an approval soon.

got the NOA1 on Dec 21st 2012 (close enough to January with all the holidays I figure nothing will have happened until Jan anyways!) applying from the UK to live in Nashville with my wife.

Haven't heard anything yet other than the case was transferred to Memphis in March. Is anyone else dealing with that field office? Is there anything I or my wife can be doing at this point? Has anyone got a clue on their processing times?

Thanks in advance to any answers!

As far as I know, contacting a congressman is somewhat of a final resort. You only filed in January, you're still about two months away from the "normal" 6 month waiting period. If you still hear nothing by the end of July, you should perhaps contact someone.

I called USCIS yesterday and left my phone #, an officer called back 2 hours later. In summary, the officer said that he has "put in a service request" to the Tampa Office. He said to expect a follow up via in writing by 6/12/13. What does this mean?

Has anyone from our group gotten a "service request" sent out on their behalf? If so, did this request end up providing you an actual status or resolution?

Thanks.

@ calygirl75 - I did this a month/two back and all I received was a letter stating that the file is still in review (received the letter from local office). I haven't heard anything back yet. It was more of an acknowledgement by the local office of the receipt of file. I certainly hope you find an approval come your way soon :)
