Thanks for your reply. Your guys are really lucky since you already in NVC Stage right now. I send it to an address that was instructed on I-130 instructions. I didn't know that I can send it to local office here? No, I didn't use any lawyer since it's pretty since process to me.

Let's hope I heard back from them soon. Anyone with same situation please reply me with their status and suggestions please.

Thanks

No, you did the right thing by sending it to the address they tell you to. They send it to the local office for you to ease the excess workload of all the applications.

Thanks for the info. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I sent my email to them. I'll give it one more week to see if I get a response. If not I will call again.

An InfoPass can never hurt. Let us know what happens at your appointment on Thursday.

I went yesterday morning. Newly built office building they just moved into :) The agent confirmed that the file was transfered as indicated how ever it was "still in the mail room" and had not been "received". I guess this means it hasn't even been touched. Yikes. She said that based on their work load I should not expect any type of decision until end of May or sometime in June. At least we know a bit more but ultimately we just need to continue to cultivate patience. Looking forward to a NOA2... Hope you get an email back soon! all the best.

When did you email them?

This whole process is so frustrating. But at least you know where your file is. I'm still waiting for a response to my email that I sent on Apr 3. I have the same NOA1 date as you. So if yours is currently at a field office...I would have to think mine was sent to one by now as well.

Thanks! Hopefully I get a response soon so I can know where my file is.

Sounds like your appointment went well. That would be great if you get NOA2 by May or June. I would be soooo happy if I got ours by then. As soon as I find out if my file is at the Newark office, I'm going to make an appointment.

I sent on April 7th.

Someone on another thread speculates that the day they reply to your email is the day the petition was transferred, which if its true (i hope not), was 2 days ago and I have 90 more days of waiting!!

They could really help ease so many people's minds by making the process at least a little bit transparent and predictable!

Yeah, it would be nice if they actually cared about what we're going through being apart from our spouses. For me, not knowing or being told anything makes it feel like there's no hope in this process sad.png

no u r not the only one ... i got my NOA1 in January 7th 2013 ,,, and righ now still show initial process ... so u r goood bro ... we all r on the same buss ... i hope the process go little bit faster cuz is really frustrating ..

Anyone else make themselves crazy looking at the online status? Its been accepted since January 14th, still in initial review. I check every day, tell me I'm not the only crazy one?

I finally got online case status to show up 4/24/2013, but it's strange that it's only at initial review because we've already gotten an RFE and sent in a package nearly a month ago. Those status "circles" aren't even showing up when I check the case status, though. I only see Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision, and Post Decision Activity--no circles for RFE, RFE Response Review, Testing & Interview, which are displayed as generic case status possibilities prior to my entering my case receipt.

Should we be worried that they perhaps didn't get the RFE response? The USPS tracker said delivery confirmed, so we had assumed, but... :( If the online case status doesn't even show RFE Response Review as an option (not even as a grayed out circle), maybe it just means they're not disclosing this particular case status at this time.

Just received NOA2 in the mail dated 4/24. Which is weird, b/c the 4/24 update on my online case status only said "initial review." However, upon a closer look the fine print on the online case status, it does say "On April 24, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review." so maybe I was just thrown off by the mismatch between all the case status circles shown prior to case receipt # entry and after.
