It's now been 2 weeks since I emailed USCIS and still no reply. Anyone else who emailed get a response yet?

Hi. I sent in an email inquiry on 3/12/13 because as of yet I cannot pull up my case status online. On 4/16/13 I received an email response, they took almost a month to respond. The email read "your Form I-130 petition was received at the National Benefits Center on January 16, 2013, and forwarded to the Tampa Field Office on February 27, 2013." So it is now 4/23/13 and my application has been in Tampa since late February. I'm not sure if I did the right thing but I requested an InfoPass for this Thursday. Just want to go in person and ask if they need any further informaton or documentation from me. I'll post an update once I know a bit more.

Anyone else make themselves crazy looking at the online status? Its been accepted since January 14th, still in initial review. I check every day, tell me I'm not the only crazy one?

I've checked twice a day (sometimes more) since Jan 30th  I understand the insanity! :D

Do you make up weird situations as to why the delay. Like a velociraptor walked into the office ensnare half the workers and my i130 got covered in blood. The reason we haven't heard anything, is its a big government conspiracy to breed fighting raptors... I miss my woman.

Hahahahah, well not quite, but I do have a lot of hate towards the customs officer at Toronto Airport who denied me entry into the US way back in November that started all of this #######....we were doing nothing wrong, but the guy was a looser and decided to turn our lives upside down....I guess the good thing is I will come out of this with a Green Card....but damn, why does it have to take so long!?

Gah! Why did he say he was denying you. We waited 6 months to file because we were worried she wouldnt gain entry, turns out didn't matter. We have had several crossings with no problems.

Hi Guys,

I called USCIS today and found out that they are currently processing August 2012 I-130 for Spouse applications right now. They also told me that my file is at NBC and then it will send out to local field office. I applied on Jan 25, 2013. Does anyone is in same situation?

I am little worried since they told me that it will still take around 4-5 months to except reply back from them.

Please let me know.

Thanks!!

We made the mistake of telling him that we were engaged, and he said that I looked like I was intending on immigrating illegally. What's crazy is I didn't have a big suitcase. I had a job to be at, it was just insane. He was a super d-bag to say the least. BUT everything does happen for a reason, we got married in December which is amazing!! We are getting through this process pretty quickly compared to other people I see on here. We have a lawyer and just got our NVC case number so we are starting that paperwork now!

Best of luck to you guys!!

Ours was sent to the local office and I guess that's good, and it was for us because our I-130 was approved in just over 80 days! We filed the 1st week of January 2013. We are in the NVC stage now....I'm sure you will be approved soon. I think what helped us is that both my Husband and I work in law enforcement and he has top secret clearance. But who knows, this whole process it a mystery to me!

Try and keep positive! Are you using a lawyer?? We are, and I think may be an advantage too?

Thanks for your reply. Your guys are really lucky since you already in NVC Stage right now. I send it to an address that was instructed on I-130 instructions. I didn't know that I can send it to local office here? No, I didn't use any lawyer since it's pretty since process to me.

Let's hope I heard back from them soon. Anyone with same situation please reply me with their status and suggestions please.

Thanks

I was very happy I went for an infopass, at least you get to talk to an immigration officer at the office where your file is located. unfortunately your office looks quite busy so you will probably be pushing the five month mark for approval.. I was lucky, my office, even though it was in the pit of los angeles was processing 130's at a good clip.. 2.5 months to approval and only two weeks at their office until it was approved.

here is the link for tampa: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=41&charttype=1
