I don't get it..is everyone getting transferred? Are they not processing at nbc anymore.?.. Mine will make a big difference...my lawyer is,in atlanta..im in new jersey, does that mean it could transfer to atlanta? I don't want that to happen...why are they transferring??? I'm so worried....I called they told ne it was still in,nbc missouri...will they tell me if its transferred?

Hi,

Don't panic. As of August 15, 2012, I-130 petitions have been going to NBC and some have been going to local offices to ease the workload on the California and Vermont Service Centers. They will not tell you of the transfer. You have to call USCIS and ask to get transferred to a tier 2 ISO who can tell you when and if you were transferred. Your case should go to your local field office according to your address so depending on where you are in NJ, it could go to a variety of different field offices. If you are not sure which one is your local office, you can go to the USCIS and type in your zip code. No need to worry.

While I have not specifically confirmed that my case was transferred and processed at my local office, I feel it was because of my very fast approval time. Shorter waiting periods have been coming from smaller offices opposed to larger offices with higher case volume. Pittsburgh is a small office with few pending I-130 petitions (according to the USCIS trend volume charts). This is the only way I can explain our fast approval since I do not live abroad with my husband and we did not file an expedite.

I am the petitioner.

Still nothing on the site. It's been 3 weeks since NOA1!

Does this mean we got stuck with an USCIS adjudicator who doesn't even bother uploading cases to the site? :bonk:

Ahhhh! I feel so antsy. Oh well, we're not at that limit yet. If nothing happens by April or May, we're gonna try for a military expedite. So wishing my husband gets his orders already!

Jughead, I believe we have the same timeline? Are you guys nearest to the Tokyo consulate? I'm in Japan, too

Hi everyone.

My husband and I sent our I-130 in on January 23rd, received our NOA1 January 28th. Still nothing up online. Here's to hoping we have a speedy processing time, we've been going transatlantic for 5 years!

I was just hoping to get some advice as to where things go from here. I know I am awaiting for the NOA2. What happens exactly after that?

Thank you! Good luck everyone!

Your petition will be transferred to the National Visa Center once you receive your I-130 approval. Once at the NVC, you send in the required documentation and pay the fees for your spouse's Adjustment of Status and Immigrant Visa. Once your case completes at the NVC your file will get sent to your appropriate consulate and your interview date will be scheduled. There are some very helpful pinned threads in the NVC forum if you want to read up and gain some more detailed information.

Best of luck! Wishing you a speedy approval. Same to all the rest of you Jan. filers!

I am the petitioner.
