I call almost every day, since my case was upgraded to IR1 from F2A, and every day both DOS and NVC say, wait till second week of February   :bonk: It is very annoying to be waiting so long after more than 2 years of waiting as F2A :crying:

Sorry everyone, this is off-topic, but how long did it take you to upgrade your case? We are hoping to upgrade ours in a few months, and I wonder how quickly that can be done.

I sent my naturalization cert on Dec 18, 2012 and they upgraded it on Jan 14, 2013 :crying: :crying: Took them almost a month due to "holiday season" and that is why we missed February interview schedule... :bonk: :bonk: I was told by NVC that outside of "holiday season" it takes DOS 2 weeks to upgrade, but I know of cases that took only couple of days...so it really depends on the work-load... Ours was looooonger because of Christmas/New Year vacations, so yours should be much much quicker    So now, since my case is complete since May 2012 we are waiting for an interview  Just make sure to call them "almost" everyday when you send your Naturalization Cert in, because I was told upgraded on Jan 14, but did not receive a mail from DOS with confirmation till Jan 24

I am not sure why they are saying that? There is no PD waiting for IR1 applicants.

Do you care about a kid in Calcutta who would have used the money you spent at starbucks today to buy food for the whole week?. Stop blaming the people working there, the policies are setup by the politicians if we have the wherewithal we should influence them. The guys working there are working to put food on their plate just like you and me. We are all frustrated but no amount of blaming here is going to influence the outcome :)
