He can also do his medical in Toronto and only go to Montreal for his interview which is a bonus.

I’ll have to do the week in Montreal thing for me and my kid let.

I second the wish for all or part of this process to be available in Calgary. Even if it was just the medical it would save time and money for me.

Here here hikergirl! Me too. I wish there was a closer panel physician and that they did some kind of immigrant visa interviews in the west too.

I have an account on USCIS and check the status daily; still have no idea what people mean by 'touched' - please let me know how one finds this information. There has been no change in our status from 'In process' on the USCIS site, and no evidence, 'picture' (?) or anything to show it was touched. Help!?

I had that same question about wanting to know what does TOUCHED means. It was explained to me so now I know.

You have to create an account and when you sign into the account. You will see a date shown. Whatever the date is, that means they "touched" your file. I am assuming that whenever they handle your file, that date will update. For me, I wasn't able to see my file show up in the system until December 18 which was the date when they finally "touched" my file and added the account number into their system which it shows it is in INITIAL REVIEW now. It's been 54 days as of today and still waiting. I hope this made sense!

Good luck everyone!

It looks like Charlotte had a big spike in receipts in Oct (as did Charleston) with a pretty low completion rate for some reason. Let’s hope that Nov was better so your file gets through quickly!
