It is really easy to make fresh (as long as you have a good food processor.) We go through tahina by the 32 oz. jar....

My husband does think Trader Joe's Mediterranean style is quite edible, though.

I've used almond butter, and even good peanut butter in place of tahina before, and it's pretty decent too

My daughter and I are the only ones at home that like hummus at all though.
