Hi and thank you for reading. My wife's interview date is set for the end of the month. The consulate no longer sends out the packet. Instead they gave a link for us to download the forms. She is cr1 case. Am I suppose to download IV appointment package (packet 4)

In the email it also states that she must have an investment fund for escrow or made available. What does that mean? Or is she not in that category?

Please advise and thank you in advance.

Dear Applicant, Petitioner, or Agent of record:

This office is ready to begin final processing of the immigrant visa applicant(s) named above in this case. We have scheduled an appointment for a visa interview in the Immigrant Visa section on the date printed above. This letter must be presented upon the applicants’ arrival at this office on the appointment date. Please note that the Consulate is now using electronic invitation letters for certain categories of applicants. Applicants will not receive a separate Packet 4 by mail.

Please have the applicants named above print this letter and bring it to their appointment with the panel physician and to their interview. Failure to bring this letter to either appointment could result in the applicant being turned away, which will cause significant delay to the processing of this visa application.

Please use the following link to access the necessary forms for cases named below: http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm. Please download and review all the forms for this case’s visa category. Fiancé(e) visa applicants should download K-1/K-2 Appointment Packet (“Packet 4”); K3/K4 visa applicants should download K-3/K-4 Appointment Packet (“Packet 4”); all other visa applicants should download IV Appointment Packet (“Packet 4”). EB5 (C5, I5, T5, R5) applicants should also bring proof that their investment funds have been transferred to an escrow account or made available to the U.S. investment project.

Please do not reply to this email. Any replies sent will not be received. To send an inquiry to the Immigrant Visa Unit, please use the following web site: http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/immigrant-visa-unit-question.html. When communicating with this office, please provide your name and case number exactly as shown in this letter.

Sincerely,

Chief, Immigrant Visa Branch

ok - that's weird.

Remind me?

NVC DOC INTAKE but NO Electronic Processing, right?

If that's the case, then this is a quickie email to tell you and yer lass that the casefile is opened.

Is interesting the interview date is not mentioned, for it it was, this was the electronic P4.

all the forms she needs for the medical are at GUZ IV forms http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm

She's not an EB5 category, so forget about the investment fund.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

on 2nd blush, this is the actual appointment letter.

The other docs needed are ONLY the medical forms. Which are downloadable and printable.

If she has printing problems, tell her to get into a copy shop and they can print the forms for her.

USUALLY the medical place has the medical forms. Usually.

the only thing she needs to hand carry is the appointment letter.

There's nothing else she needs exactly.

Optional - bonafide marriage evidence to show at the interview.

if understood correctly. for the medical, all she needs to print out is the interview letter. Provide her passport and bring 4 photos. Nothing else? or are we suppose to download the medical form and have it filled out whatever we can.
