We got our AOS interview scheduled (less than a month away - yay!), but no approval of the EAD/AP as of yet (biometrics were done 12/21).

Is it possible that they will issue the GC after the interview and just skip issuing the EAD/AP?

Or should I still expect to get my EAD/AP either before or after the interview?

Thanks everyone!

I understand your question.I am in the same situation.I have an interview date on Jan 30th and the status is Testing and interview but my EAD is still showing at initial review.I was under the impression that the EAD card would have arrived beforei go to the interview and I have seen several timelines that confirm this is the case.I won der why no updates on the EAD.I hope it arrives before the interview because most timelines are showing that EAD's are recived in about 60-75 days after filing and I am beyond that.

We're in the same boat too, AOS filed 10/23,NOA1 priority date 10/29, biometrics done on 11/16 and now GC interview 1/15 so I reckon we'll have our interview before we get the AP/EAD card which is fine but seems strange. How long after the interview should we expect the GC? We need to go back for a 100 day ceremony for brother in law on 2/10. Thanks.

If the AOS is approved during interview, you will get the GC in mail in 1-2 weeks after interview. If you also applied for EAD/AP, then they will come very likely 1 or 2 days ahead of GC. EAD/AP are useless if you have GC, but USCIS will send them to you anyway, as proof that they do their work to process your EAD/AP applications

yeah, same situation here.

My wife's EAD/AP just got approved, and her AOS status is in the testing/interview stage waited for a interview to be scheduled. We are also planning on visiting her family during chinese new years, which is coming up next month. I am concerned that we might get a interview letter while we are gone.

If your interview is scheduled for the time while you are in China, you may have to re-schedule it -- which may cause significant delay. Please consider carefully on your China visit.
