I think there is an issue with this format. First you get inline for the interview and then you get the Interview letter. Am I correct ?

Hi waiting400n,

I finally received my NOA in the mail today 01/19/13 ! Whoohoo! Notice date on the letter was 01/16/13. It also said my Fee Waiver was approved. My case number starts with NBC.

By the way, my NOA said the same thing about "upon receipt of all required record checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office" as well. It's prob a generic phrase.

Hopefully, my biometrics letter will come in a couple of days :)

Can someone update my timeline as well please? I got my NOA today and the local field office will be San Jose, CA

You will love my answer...."it depends". :) In all the years I've been stalking...err....reading this site, the COA seems to be a common freak out topic. It need not be if people are diligent in following up with the USCIS. First things first...file your change of address with USCIS only after you have closed on your home, not when you sign the purchase agreement. I say this because thing can happen during the home buying process and you want to be 100% sure of your new address. That can only happen after you have closed on your new home. Imagine notifying USCIS of your new address before closing, then something happens....you get the picture.

If you are wanting to change your address, file the AR-11 form within 10 days of moving: https://egov.uscis.g...ction=coa.Terms

Of course, don't forget to notify the post office as well: https://moversguide.usps.com/

After all that, be diligent by constantly checking your case status online. It shows when they sent out communication to you via mail throughout the process. Sucky part is they don't have a history of communication online, meaning as you advance through the different phases, they overwrite the previous online messages....hence the reason to check everyday. That way you know when they sent you something...from there you can gauge if you received the mail to your new address. If you didn't get anything, CALL!

Best advice, don't move! Hahaha. Reality is it isn't a big deal so long as you follow up with USCIS and your new home is within the US! :)

Just checked the mail and we received the 797 (NOA). And the biometrics appointment letter... Bio is 1/30/2013. YAY!

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

I got the NOA and the date for Bio-metrics on February 7. For removing conditions and initial GC application,I ignored the Bio-metric Appointment Date and went in at the earliest possible day. Is this still true or do I have to wait?

I can laugh now...we are leaving for vacation on 2/7 and I was concerned about the Biometric date landing on our date of departure then having to go through the hassle of rescheduling. It didn't as we got 2/6! Looking at Kasiraman's latest update, we got lucky!!! We submitted our files on the same date and we are at the same field office....we just happened to get 2/6 and they got 2/7. Crazy lucky!

W e are in the SAME situation... We are leaving for vacation on 31 January and we had the same fear.... Today we got our bio appt letter... Ours is Jan 30th, day before we leave... I thought it was crazy too!
