My fiance passed the Interview on 17th June , can anyone here have an info about the Schedule of Oath Ceremony in Tampa FL for June ?!

i did add andy_bronx a few weeks ago, not sure why he disappeared from the list (can't find it anymore). just wanted to thank both of you for posting your updates. i'm a fellow NYC resident from outside brooklyn/queens, so i'm finding your comments very informative. when i looked at another n400 tracking site (trackit - http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/n400 ), it was clear that people filing in NYC are in 2 distinct groups in terms of their timelines. you can sort the list by USCIS district office and then by application filed date to get an idea. a lot of NYC filers seem to be getting their interview letters 6 months or so after biometrics, and i bet these are mostly folks from manhattan and the bronx. either way, it seems both of you should get a date sooner rather than later now; fingers crossed!

please post an update once you have some news :-) have to say i'm considering a break from visajourney though, because it stings to see people get interviews right and left, and know that for some reason, some of us will have to wait months longer than others to finish the process :-/

HAHAHA! This is "almost" funny. We must have spoken to the same person or they go by a script what to tell people. I got exactly the same answers. I had browsed through 8 months of forums from September 2012 - April 2013 before my 2nd call. There is clearly a pattern here that Queens/Brooklyn applicants are facing processing times between 3-5 months. The rest waited between 110 and 140 days between "In Line" and the letter. That pretty much matches what we were told: to wait another 30-45 days from now.

She probably also told you that they are processing files from August 22nd now. That would mean that there are 4 -5 months to go until USCIS reaches January 2013 filers. From my LPR application experience I can tell that this date doesn't mean much. People already received interview letters who had filed many months later. I wouldn't be too concerned about that statement.

Don't hurt yourself with the telephone! The letter will come at some point. Why don't you add yourself to the list since you filed in January as well? Let me know if you need help and I can add you. Just need to know all your dates.

No differences, I don't think so. If there was a differences, they would have told you right there and then at the interview day. I also changed my last name.

ok .. I have plan to go there early .. I heard some people said it's gonna take 2-3 hours until finish .

Thanks for your post and the link. I felt challenged by all the numbers and started doing the math.

I calculated the average for all 50 entries on the tracking list (all Dallas filers with NYC office). I eliminated all results that had processing times of below 100 days because these are probably our friends from Brooklyn and Queens.

After eliminating these results, NYC filers on the average had to wait 171 DAYS from filing date to the day when they received the interview letter. That's 5 MONTHS + 21 DAYS. If one considers the fingerprint appointment as the start date, the average applicant had to wait 133 DAYS or 4 MONTHS + 13 DAYS for the interview letter to arrive. This result matches pretty much what Andy_Bronx and myself were told when we called the hotline after 90 days. 90 + another 30-45 days is right around the period when former applicants in NYC received their letters. Good news is that this number actually decreased by about 20 - 30 days over the past 6 months. Back then applicants had to wait over 200 days for the letter to arrive. We are still within normal processing times.

Otta, please don't discourage yourself. It is going to happen! And again, there is a price to pay for living in the greatest City in the world and if it's only that one has to wait a bit longer to finally become a US citizen!

Hello all!

My husband had his oath ceremony today in Chicago. I must say it was a very emotional experience for me, to say the least. We went through a lot like many of you here on Visa Journey and relied on wonderful VJ friends that became a permanent part of our history for support throughout the entire time. There are no words to explain how much this forum and its valued members mean to us, their support is immeasurable and priceless. For those of you that know, we had a crazy ride on the edge throughout the majority of my husband's journey to citizenship, and I am proud to say that he is an American citizen today! God Bless! Woot woot! Great news! Hopefully it'll be all over by November, so that you can vote in the mayoral election :-) I thought I might, but looking at your timeline, I'm not expecting an interview letter before October, haha. At least it's good to know what to expect and, based on your calculations from Tractitt, it's clear all this is within the (deplorable) processing time for the Bronx & Manhattan.
