The parking was good we went to a parking lot around the corner (which was $10) versus the one right beside the Paramount ($20). I did apply for my passport right after the ceremony. I highly recommend having everything together (application signed, a check or money order, 2 photos, and grey envelope you received at your interview) Also bring a pen (to sign your certificate) and get one of those hard cover naturalization certificate folders that they sell outside ($15). After we received our certificates we had to file out to the main lobby and it was PACKED! It was very crowded so it helps to have that folder (or any hard binder folder) to keep your certificate intact. Also if you are doing passports make a "copy" of your certificate I took a pic of mine with my iPhone so I had one for my records in the meantime. Bring a camera as well as we are allowed to take pictures and there was a photo op with the American flag.

Did my Oath ceremony today I was one of 1009 new citizens and there were 95 countries represented. The ceremony was very touching. They gave us a package (with passport applications, voting info, oath, letter from the president, etc) It was a mad house afterwards lining up for passport applications and voter registration. Looks like I will be back for my husband's ceremony at the end of the month. A little tip to everyone bring a pen! Plus they sell hard cover certificate folders outside the ceremony venue (get one). It's so worth it! Keeps from getting your certificate smashed in the crowd as you file out and apply to vote and get your passport.

hello folks have my interview today at 26 federal plazza in new york.nice lady went true the all documentation then the yes or no questions.after that reading and wrirring test then the civics questions.ihad 6 questions because i gave the right answer so dont need to go to ten.after she said i passed and i will received the oath letter in about 2 wks.thanks everyone wish good luck to dramaqueen coz she/he is also part of ny.dont know now how long will take for the letter and the ceremony.anyone have idea.thx

On April 8, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled.

Haha...I literally just received a text message and email saying my case status has been changed to "Oath ceremony". It said that I have been scheduled and they already sent out a letter so hopefully i'll get it soon, menina, I'll update you my exact date when I receive it. Maybe we'll be in the same ceremony . Do u know your Oath date yet?

Phewww... what a roller coaster it has been the past 3 weeks. FilipgaRN, thanks to your advice, I called USCIS 2 days ago trying to find out what's going on and what took them so long to update my case. I didn't get transfer to level 2 office because the level 1 told me they are too busy to accepting transfer calls during that hour. Anyway, she helped me file a "information request form" over the phone. I don't know if that is the reason why my status is updated today (perhaps they forgot about me and my file was in the corner so they finally looked it up and did something about it? lol). Anyway, I am very happy that I finally got the assurance that I was waiting for.

No i never got a "put in queue", i just went from "interview" to "oath ceremony" which is weird. I definitely think they forgot to update me lol.

And yes, i think waiting a couple of weeks before contacting them is a good idea. I hope you get ur oath day soon, too!
