I think there is an issue with this format. First you get inline for the interview and then you get the Interview letter. Am I correct ?

Just got a text that I have been placed for the interview. Should receive a notice in 30 days.

Good for you! :thumbs: May I asked where in NYC you are located? Brooklyn seems to have passed other boroughs at great speed. Thanks.

I am not located in NYC. I am in the NW suburb of NYC.

I really don't understand what criteria they are using to forward applications. You should have also been placed for the interview by now.

What's up with Baltimore, MD? My status online hasn't changed since January 30th when they placed me for interview scheduling. I got a yellow letter 2 weeks ago saying I should bring my old/new passport and IRS documents (since I only sent them copies for 2 years) but other than that...NONE! :unsure:

Did my Oath ceremony today I was one of 1009 new citizens and there were 95 countries represented. The ceremony was very touching. They gave us a package (with passport applications, voting info, oath, letter from the president, etc) It was a mad house afterwards lining up for passport applications and voter registration. Looks like I will be back for my husband's ceremony at the end of the month. A little tip to everyone bring a pen! Plus they sell hard cover certificate folders outside the ceremony venue (get one). It's so worth it! Keeps from getting your certificate smashed in the crowd as you file out and apply to vote and get your passport. good.gif

Big Congratulations! They did not have anything for sale after ours... Nor was there anyone for passports (but voting people were there)... That was a BIG bunch, over 1000 :wow: but congrats to you guys!

FlipgalRN :no: How was the parking at The Paramount Thertre? did you do your new passport today ?

The parking was good we went to a parking lot around the corner (which was $10) versus the one right beside the Paramount ($20). I did apply for my passport right after the ceremony. I highly recommend having everything together (application signed, a check or money order, 2 photos, and grey envelope you received at your interview) Also bring a pen (to sign your certificate) and get one of those hard cover naturalization certificate folders that they sell outside ($15). After we received our certificates we had to file out to the main lobby and it was PACKED! It was very crowded so it helps to have that folder (or any hard binder folder) to keep your certificate intact. Also if you are doing passports make a "copy" of your certificate I took a pic of mine with my iPhone so I had one for my records in the meantime. Bring a camera as well as we are allowed to take pictures and there was a photo op with the American flag.
