I think there is an issue with this format. First you get inline for the interview and then you get the Interview letter. Am I correct ?

Just a quick update...finally out of the Oath que! Oath ceremony scheduled and letter sent! Will update my timeline once I receive my letter.good.gif

We did not get a yellow letter so I'm not sure...

When I read the yellow letter.. at the end, it said something like .. REMINDER: Bring this notice with you. (which is the yellow letter)

Did the IO (Immigration Officer) not ask for the yellow letter at all on the day of the interview?

Did the IO (Immigration Officer) not ask for the yellow letter at all on the day of the interview?

I got a yellow letter asking to bring my DL/ID card to my interview and the immigration officer didn't even mention it. Big thing is the GC and the expired and current passports.

No letter yet! It should be here this week! I'm so excited. I also contacted USCIS and spoke to a level 2 officer and he told me my husband was approved and should be placed in the Oath que this month! I'm really excited! You must be so excited as well the Hubby will be a citizen this week! kicking.gif

You must be so excited as well the Hubby will be a citizen this week! kicking.gif

Yes, we are sooo excited. He has to go to the Miami passport office first thing Friday morning as he has a job on a ship leaving the USA on Saturday. I mad the appt for 8 am on Friday so we pray they can get him the passport by the afternoon!

So glad that things are moving along for so many of us. I needed some advice :)

Hubby needs to visit his mother who is ill and would need to travel outside the country. He is planning on April 20-May 04. But we didn't want him to book the ticket and then get a letter for an interview scheduled within that time frame. Additionally, we found a great round-trip fare but it is not a deal that will last long. Should we book his trip?

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

If your husband must travel, then I would book the ticket, however I would have someone check the mail and once the letter is received to call and reschedule for emergency reasons. Or make an info pass with your ticket in hand and explain the situation, they may issue him an interview before traveling of after. I recommend to do the second one first.

I say book the flight as airfares can change so quickly... Then make an info pass appt and have them put in the computer that you will be out of town during that period ( we did that for out upcoming trip to Italy in April thinking that we would get the appt after, but instead they gave us one before) but have someone check the mail while you're gone as Marm suggested, and have a letter in writing stating why you need to change the appt (if it is in fact scheduled while you are gone) that someone can send out for you as they request in writing for any changes.

If your husband must travel, then I would book the ticket, however I would have someone check the mail and once the letter is received to call and reschedule for emergency reasons. I say book it as well since family comes first before anything but keep in mind that rescheduling the appointment MIGHT delay the process. Before you do anything, make sure whoever checks the mail to open the interview letter to see if the interview date is before May 4th or after. If it's before then you might want to reschedule (it might delay the process) otherwise don't reschedule as your husband will be in the United States on May 4th anyways.

glad things are moving fast for you guys. It's been 11 days since my interview with the "recommended for approval" thing and my status online still hasn't changed to "decision", it's still at "interview" stage. I am so anxious right now hahaha. Wonder why it takes so long

Mine took about 10 days or so to change from Oath que to Oath Ceremony and my husband was just placed in the Oath que today (10 days after being in the interview status online. It didn't even change to decision) I'm sure there is a little backlog but hopefully you will have yous soon! Our journeys are almost over!! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif
