I think there is an issue with this format. First you get inline for the interview and then you get the Interview letter. Am I correct ?

hie folks i have a quick question from my who have his interview in few days he is filing base on 3 trs marriage and have file his tax married filing seperate for 2 yrs jointly for one yr and house holder this yr for economic reasons he told me.it is a problem for him if so how he can defent his case.thanks

Please update my file since I am afraid to mess up the format. My interview letter was dated 3/22/2013 and my interview date will be on 5/1/2013.

Based on the progress of my case, it seems that Los Angeles service center is a little bit slow compared with other service areas.

Congratulations to all January 2013 N-400 filers who are now USC!

yeah same here LA service center.. little bit slow but still ok :)

I wouldn't be surprised that Los Angeles is a bit slow due to the population.

With that being said, I just received a letter stating that I need to bring Green Card and Driver License at the interview date (which hasn't been disclosed yet). :thumbs:

Cool! I am also in LA and waiting. I've been in line since March 15.

Now I've been in line since March 23 ( someone plis update me )

That's by all means doesn't guarantee that the interview letter will be arriving soon. It basically means "IF ANY ONLY IF we decide to disclose the interview date, make sure you bring the listed documents with you" ...

yeah , I got mine yellow letter requaired me to bring ID/DL from state .. and also letter that prove I did selective service system..

anyone have similiar case like this before ?

Will you bring your ID/DL with you to the interview OR will you bring everything including passsport, green card etc to be in the safe side?

No, you can file taxes however best suits your financial needs... As long as you file. However I would be prepared in case they ask for proof if still being married/living as a married couple... I would bring other documentation such as mortagage, utility bills, insurance, lease etc... To show that you are in fact living as a married couple still...

Interview Update

Interview on 04/11

Quick question, since myself and spouse interview scheduled at same day and time, we both will be interviewed by the same officer or separate? Does anyone have a prior knowledge or experience?

My husband and I had our interviews on the same day about 45 mins apart. We had two different officers interview us. Good luck on your upcoming interview! good.gif

Will you bring your ID/DL with you to the interview OR will you bring everything including passsport, green card etc to be in the safe side?

yes..for sure , I will bring everything ..DL, passport , GC , SSS ,( extra photo ) and copy of N-400 .

Yep, I got the yellow letter asking for DL only as well., I had 29 trips outside US, so will bring passports and originals of documents I submitted with n400 (divorce papers). I travelled outside the US since application so will create an addition for theit mountain of paper.

So far, I am seeing that folk never have to show anything (apart from passports) that they bring..Has anyone ever been asked for documents NOT on the yellow letter?

Hi chillies.. why you both have been invited for interview?? I think you dont need your wife in interview room.. you filed n400 based on 3 year marriage rule rite??

We did not get a yellow letter so I'm not sure... But the one thing I heard of them asking for is documentation of paid for any tickets... As far as athe trips outside the USA, my husband has like 70+ so he did an quick excel form based off the n400 which listed the trips and his passport(s) They were fine with that and only said "wow, travel a lot huh"? Good luck!
