We did not get any yellow letter.. Did it come with the interview letter or separate? We are bringing every govt document and birth and marriage certificate that we have to be safe...

Our biggest issue that worries my hubby is his travel outside of the country. He does 2-3 day jobs every couple weeks to fix cruise and tanker ships (no he did not work on the Triumph) so we have a list 2 pages long of trips... But none are more than 5 days at a time and total about 300 days over 3.5 years. I figure he will get questions so we got a letter from his employer stating what his job is and that international travel is a job requirement.

The yellow letter came separate from the interview letter. As far as documents are it never hurts to bring too much. blush.gif I think the main thing when it comes to days out of the US the USCIS wants to make sure no trip single lasts over 6 months because to them it means you abandoned your GC. You guys should be in good shape! Good luck with your interview btw! It's coming up soon! Hubby and I have been studying civics like crazy to the point we are even using the flash cards! laughing.gif

I think there is an issue with this format. First you get inline for the interview and then you get the Interview letter. Am I correct ?

Don't worry about yellow letter my girl friend who has interview in SF.on Mar15. She got the yellow letter last Friday to bring taxes,bill and Driver license on interview date .Even she already sended it. :hehe:

Thanks sambo123! I think you'll find your status is going to move fast since you're filing in SF as well! In a little less than a day I was already scheduled for the interview after being placed in line! Good luck to your gf too btw!

We have gone through the questions but he is kind of a history and politics buff so he does pretty well. Plus, We took a trip to Washington, D.C. Last april and went to senate, congress, met our congressman, did the capitol and White House tour, and the library of congress had a full exhibit ofmthe declarationof independence and bill of rights history... the whole 9yards, so I would say the trip was not in vain!

Very cool! It's great when you can see historical things up close! It pulls everything you study together. Hubby and I are both born and raised in Canada so I'm afraid this is all new for us. I learned a lot just from watching the movie Lincoln lol (very good movie) Hopefully once we get our citizenship we can go to D.C. too! We would love to learn more about this amazing country's history biggrin.gif

It was a great trip. Be sure to write you congressman, he set us up with VIP tour of the Capitol and the White House tour and tour of the congressional. Offices... Even had lunch in the house cafeteria. It gives you a whole new appreciation...

Hello everybody ,

My fiance submited his N-400 package on 01/09/2013 to Dallas, TX. Local office: CLEARWATER FL.

Still no biometrics is this normal??He is applying for naturalizaton based on 5 year GC .

I don't know what normal is anymore, but has he at least recieved the NOA confirmation that his N-400 package has been processed? We actually got our biometrics letter the day before we received our actual NOA. One was on plain paper, the other was not. I believe he should be at least able to call USCIS to see if a biometrics date has been set up and if notice of the appt. has been sent.

Yes he called USCIS two days ago , they said something like we have your appt here on table,no info more but does it have to last long its been almost month and a half and I worry if all process will go so slowly :( as now is

Got e-mail and text yesterday!!!! February 21, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed :dance:

Is that mean i will get a letter soon right ? :innocent:

Got e-mail and text yesterday!!!! February 21, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed :dance:

Is that mean i will get a letter soon right ? :innocent:

We have the same field office. You should be getting your interview letter in a week. At least thats how long it took me to get mine! good.gif
