getting married in the states

Timeline

i ll travel to the usa under a K1 visa.me and my fiance decided to get married as soon as possible.i just don t know if there are any papperworks i am going to need to take with me for the wedding ???

hi there

depends on which state you get married in... i would look google your state about marriage licences..

you will need birth certificate, divorce decree's (if you have been divorced before) if you get your social security number before you marry and your passport as ID that you are a legally alowed in the states..

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

In Nevada the petitioner has to have Valid ID, Driver License and Social Security Card. The party coming from another country is not expected to have a social security card yet so all that is required is a passport for him or her.
