Can someone please explain why almost all the countries listed above the US and have higher suicide rates have way tighter gun control laws?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

LOL

Your pals at the violence policy center lumped ALL firearms related deaths (including deaths occurring from acting in self-defense) into this chart

Smart, but not really accurate

Why dont you post murders per capita see what the numbers look like then? No correlation. Let's play "fun with numbers" and look at state gun ownership rates and state murder rates. Here is both

And then there's this - the higher the gun ownership rates, the higher the firearm deaths.

Facts suck! We should ban them, eh?

Vermont: Murder rate 1.3. Hawaii 1.2.

Gun ownership rate 42%. Care to explain?

Michigan and Nebraska have identical gun ownership rates. Murder rate in Michigan is 6.2. Murder rate in Nebraska is 3.6

Why the 72% difference?

You need to go back and read my posts, I've already touched on this. The reason is because if you have bad neighborhoods, you will have more crime, and more murders. This is why giving everyone the right to carry a gun in certain areas is just plain stupid. I know people that live in all of those places and it's the same all around.

What constitutes a bad neighborhood? Poor people? They have the right to defend themselves too. Minorities? Ditto. Same right.

You don't have bad neighborhoods until you ACCEPT/LIVE WITH/TAKE FOR GRANTED/NORMALIZE unacceptable behavior in a neighborhood.

The crime rates / shootings / murder rates correspond to the above and nothing else. There is otherwise no, none, zero correlation between gun ownership rates and murder rates.

We can otherwise play "fun with numbers" all day
