Well I am happy now ... Green Card just arrived in the mail and no mistakes on it ...

I contacted my future boss and I am scheduled to start working this Friday Nov 10 ...

08-05-06 - Married in Sycamore IL

AOS / EAD
08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)
11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)

REMOVING CONDITIONS

11th Aug 2008 - Mailed I-751 to CSC.

12th Aug 2008 - Application received

14th Aug 2008 - Cheque cashed

18th Aug 2008 - Received NOA-dated the 12th

26th Aug 2008 - Received Biometrics letter

4th Sept 2008 - Biometrics-Detroit-Complete-'Touched'

5th Sept 2008 - 'Touched'

1st Dec 2008 - APPROVED-Card production ordered -112 days

8th Dec 2008 - USCIS mailed approval notice.

8th Dec 2008 - Received my 10 year Greencard in the mail. took 2 days.

Although I have the above date for approval my card actualy states the

2nd December..

You were right ... I was worrying about nothing ... :)

Now I get to worry about starting a new job hehe ... The last job I was at for 16 years so starting a new job will be intresting ... But I am definately looking forward to it though ...

Waiting in Vancouver and Aidan, Congratulations!!! I've been eagerly checking my mailbox everyday waiting for that little "white" surprise! Hope you two can radiate the good luck!

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

Congratulations waiting in vancouver...you can change ur nick now hehehehe you aren't waiting anymore heeheh... Just kidding...

july 21 - sent it to chicago

July 31 - receipt number

August 3 - Noa 2

August 16 - biometrics

August 29 - transfered to Vermont Service Center

August 30 to October 4 - Never touched

October 5 - recieved my case

October 6 - touched and received email from CRIS THAT they have recieved my case for processing. Thanks !

october 7 - touched! gosh! they are working with my case now!!!

october 9 - touched again almost everyday they touched it!

october 13 - touched again

October 16 - touched

October 26 - touched again after 10 days..

October 26 - at 5:20 pm I received a letter from CRIS that my case was approved and they ordered my new card.

October 27 - touched and received email that they sent the welcome letter hhehehehe

October 28 - sent welcome notice

October 30 - touched

October 31 - touched

October 31 - no welcome notice...but GREEN CARD IS HERE!!![/color]

( in my Green Card it says that I am legal resident here in the US starting October 23, 2006)

Actually I had a job at the beginning of October ... I contacted a sister company to the company I worked back in Vancouver, Canada .... They use the same product line here that I had been using for the past 16 years back home ...

We had a few discussions and they sent me an official offer on October 6 ... Which I promptly signed as I was very impressed with the offer ... Their offer was actually a better salary then what I was making back in Canada and in US funds ... :)

Their offer sheet did have a contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening (which is one test I shouldn't have a problem with) and a successful background check (which once again I am sure if the FBI approved me then this shouldn't be a problem) ... It also had stated that my effective employment date was dependent on my successful receipt of my green card and/or EAD ...

So I called them on Monday (the day I got my GC) and notified that I had the GC and I was ready to start ... They told my Friday would be best for them ... And that is pretty much it in a nutshell :)
